We have a winner on the 500th Post

Monica of Works For Yarn at worksforyarn.blogspot.com wins the 500 yards of pretty mohair wool blend to celebrate this, my 500th post. Congratulations Monica. It was a supervised drawing; I supervised, Al drew the winner.

I had a request from irisheyes Lynn to include Huck in the 500th post. He is beautifully and gently holding some big wooden needles against the backdrop of about 500 black-eyed-susan flowers.

I want to thank every one who likes to read Irisheyes and comment. Lurkers too. Blogging is a fun creative outlet for me. I have found such sincere and kind knitters by the blog.

I plan to continue the Guest Bloggers b/c they are so fun for you and me!
I also plan to learn how to post others' buttons thanks to Karen. I have to take a little quiet time and focus on her step by steps that she kindly sent.

Ahhhhhhhhh! What a cute way to announce the winner of your contest. Huck looks like he knows exactly what he is there for. :) Congratulations on your 500th post. I think I'm only half way there. Got a lot of catching up to do. Keep posting because we all enjoy reading and seeing what you are up to. :)

Happy 500!!! Huck is so cute . . . and likes to knit too?? LOL I love you black-eyed-susans - I have some in my front garden, but no where near that many (yet). Let me know if any part of the button instructions is confusing. :)

Every Once in a While I Might Post

 Is that vague enough for you?  It has been a too busy complicated Spring.  I had no energy to blog.  All is well now, so I can share some things with you:   1. When I shoot photos of the moon I think of Dear Teresa.  Gone too soon. She took fabulous moon pictures.  2. I did not see one shooting star last night.  I only got up for a few moments around 3 a.m.  The local weather guy said he saw a few quick faint ones.   3. How can I can have one grown child in Oklahoma under flood watch, and One Child in Mexico under hurricane watch?  On the same day.  Tis true.  4. What have I knitted lately?  I am pretty sure I've ripped more than I've knit.  I ripped out a shawl that I was making up.  It was cotton and pretty.  I need to follow a pattern.  5. I was trying to make socks and decided to make mittens instead.  I haven't worked a thumb in a long time.  I may have to frog it too.  So I ha...
