Irisheyeslynn gave me some Mountain Colors Crazy Woman for a gift. Whaddami? Crazy?
Why did I wait so long to knit with it. ?
It is so soft. It is so lovely. It is going to be a SOCK for me.

I finished My husband's big socks in Big Mexico. They are going to look great in a pair of hiking boots.

I want to knit more socks at this gauge: 6 sts/inch. What do you all recommend? Can you recommend something that has free or nearly free shipping?

theknitter.com has free shipping, and a pretty good selection of sport wt sock yarn. I am not affiliated with them in any way, but have ordered from them, and have had good service. I love Bearfoot sock yarn, it is so wonderful on really cold days.

Cookie Sheet Blanket Contest .....

This is a call for knitters to knit a baby blanket no bigger than a cookie sheet. Blankets will be distributed in the NICU where I work. We just don't get many blankets. We need them. Traditional baby colors will do, but we'd love you to branch out a bit. Use up those leftovers if you wish. You could win a lovely prize. All who send a blanket by November 1st, ALL SAINTS DAY, you angels you, will be entered in the drawing. Here are the rules: Blanket must be made of yarn which is washable. Sorry, Hospital rules.
