I thank you all for your encouragement and permission to pick up something other than the Swing Coat for a bit. I'm counting on the support to keep going on it as well. Phew, it is so nice to get permission....

As for the yarn, its : RIVER by sweetgeorgiayarns. I bought it for Al. The blues and browns are delightful to me. The will make a unique pair of socks. Very good service at sweetgeorgia. Will order from them again.

I would love to find some Christmas colors in a colorway. I know that Lorna's Laces used to have a great white/red/green colorway in sock yarn. I know because irisheyes Lynn bought it up at a Market past and made her family great matching socks for Christmas.....now I want to do the same thing.

Anyone seen anything of the kind out there in your LYS?

I thought there was a holiday Opal out there somewhere but now that I look at the ptyarn site, I guess I was hallucinating.

I've got some Honey Fig yarn from Sweet Georgia on the way. :)

Oh that yarn is so beautiful!!! I can't wait to see the socks. :)

I saw some yarn online in the Perchance to Knit Etsy shop that reminded me of Christmas. It's got a little black thrown in and was inspired by a summer picnic (watermelon, maybe?) but it says CHRISTMAS to me!!

 Is that vague enough for you?  It has been a too busy complicated Spring.  I had no energy to blog.  All is well now, so I can share some things with you:   1. Dear buddy nurse and spay neuter pal Linda, came to visit yesterday.  We knitted. We laughed.  We shared books we are reading. She Showed me her scarf.  It looks like a shawl but it is a scarf. Here is her yarn choice. And the( OUCH) price.   It makes her happy to knit.  If Linda's happy I'm happy.  I dont' know the pattern and neither does she.  Her dog literally shredded her pattern.  She was at a point where she had memorized the easy part and she's nearly finished.  So there you go, anyone know the pattern? You are all so sweet about the move and the house.
