Stash photo of old

Well, I am showing you the old stash photo. When I take a close look I see that I have knitted quite a bit from this stash since the photograph last fall. Also, to our credit, Al and I have frogged and reknitted some not successes to give the yarn the shape it deserves. The bottom line for me: NO MORE SOCK YARN for a long time. Maybe stitches midwest. I wish everyone would stop showing that gorgeous Trekking yarn. It makes this very hard.

I hope to show you my mom tomorrow, wearing the shawl I made for her with the Koigu from Elizabeth Lemler. Al is away at Habitat for Humanity.....I am lucky to be her mom. I never dreamed I'd have a little girl who could sit still for so long ....and knit! I hope her knitting made the long drive a little less draining.

Tomorrow Zach bears the brunt of Mother's Day alone! I won't be too much trouble.......just leave me to my knitting!

Please leave me your email or blog so I can thank you for your comment.

I hope you have a very happy Mother's Day!!! I think asking to be "left alone to knit" is the perfect Mother's Day request. :) Love the stash picture - and don't worry, I'm on the "no new yarn" wagon as well. AND my skein of Trekking was knit monthes ago, so I'll drool over all the other Trekking with you.

Okay, I won't say too much, but I am SOOOO looking forward to working with the Trekking #106. ;) (Evil, aren't I?) I'm thinking of the feather and fan pattern for it. I think that it would be perfect. And, those trekking socks will make a trek on part of the Appalachian trail this summer, too. :) I can't think of a better trek!

I'm trying to enjoy a little quiet knitting time on this Mother's day, too...but it's hard when the kidlings won't stop fighting for more than 2 minutes at a time!

Happy Mother's Day! I hope you get lots of time to knit today. I'm looking forward to doing the same thing this afternoon.

That Trekking yarn is calling me too. And I don't knit nearly as many socks as you do, so I definitely have no business buying any.

Man, that stash makes me dizzy! I just want to dive in. I have to admit, if you're going to fall off the wagon, Trekking is the one to fall off with! I've determined not to buy anymore sock yarn for the summer too, but it's hard. I keep getting tempted!
