Nothing says Summer like....Fixation

I love the elastic/cotton mix of Fixation by Cascade. I used it for my first pair of socks a few years ago. I want to make a summer tank with Fixation, but it has to wait in the time line....

Currently I am focused on finsihing Al's Broadripple socks. I do like side by side knitting of the socks on double points. It really does alleviate second sock syndrome. I will most definitely make socks this way again.

Nothing says summer like;
Barbeque
a fire in our fire pit (first one last night....sorry to all of you under drought/fire danger conditions, I'll toast a marshmallow for you!)
petunias
garage sales
the big dipper
porch napping
lake michigan swims for Huck
the local dairy bar
a pedicure
rolling down the windows
lemon squares
grilled pineapple

and, of course, fixation.

Ahhhh, We're going to welcome summer with a fire-pit fire tonight! I can't wait for the crackly sound, and the wonderful smell.

Of course, we're starting the evening with a barbeque, I gave myself a pedicure yesterday, and DH was busy with some gardening today. We're sooooo talking "summer" here!

I love making socks with Fixation...but I had a really bad ball last winter. It had 20 breaks and knots in it. It was horrible!!!
This has only happened to me once. But I'm worried about trying again with Fixation.

Have you ever had this problem?

I can vouch for the success of Angela's barbecue and firepit. The s'mores were wonderful! ;)

I just added two more balls of Fixation to my stash - I love it too!

Dear buddy nurse and spay neuter pal Linda, came to visit yesterday.  We knitted. We laughed.  We shared books we are reading. She Showed me her scarf.  It looks like a shawl but it is a scarf. Here is her yarn choice. And the( OUCH) price.   It makes her happy to knit.  If Linda's happy I'm happy.  I dont' know the pattern and neither does she.  Her dog literally shredded her pattern.  She was at a point where she had memorized the easy part and she's nearly finished.  So there you go, anyone know the pattern? You are all so sweet about the move and the house. Every Once in a While I Might Post

 Is that vague enough for you?  It has been a too busy complicated Spring.  I had no energy to blog.  All is well now, so I can share some things with you:   1. When I shoot photos of the moon I think of Dear Teresa.  Gone too soon. She took fabulous moon pictures.  2. I did not see one shooting star last night.  I only got up for a few moments around 3 a.m.  The local weather guy said he saw a few quick faint ones.   3. How can I can have one grown child in Oklahoma under flood watch, and One Child in Mexico under hurricane watch?  On the same day.  Tis true.  4. What have I knitted lately?  I am pretty sure I've ripped more than I've knit.  I ripped out a shawl that I was making up.  It was cotton and pretty.  I need to follow a pattern.  5. I was trying to make socks and decided to make mittens instead.  I haven't worked a thumb in a long time.  I may have to frog it too.  So I have been knitting, but not making things.  6.
