Okay,

Its official, our neighbor Margaret can have the baby now. AL and I finished our Uggs tonight. Class was very relaxing and fun at 3 Bags Full Last night. If its a girl, she gets Al's purple Uggs, if its a boy, she gets the brown ones!

They are quite fun to make. Just a little sockish boot without all the picking up stitches.

(just another baby legging in the image. Using my socks yarns a little differently) I think that blogger may not have correctly counted all the posts I've written. I've been posting since 2004 so I guess it is possible. I'm not going to go back and count them all. It says this is post 987. So we'll go with it. Im having a little contest for the milestone, but I have had writer's block since I decided on the 1000th post contest. So to take the pressure off, we are just going to do this now. :) I get crazy with pressure around events of all kinds. I just do. To enter: Please please please only leave a comment about this post on this post. Im much too flakey to search around differnt posts, afterall there are nearly a thousand (did I mention that number already? sorry....) Leave a comment telling me anything about Lace. If you dn't know anything about Lace, ask someone and share their knowledge. Do tell us who gave you this lace advice, to make it f...

Al and I have been trying to come up with a contest. I am so scattered lately. So, I'm going to ask a bunch of scattered questions. Answer any of them, then I will answer YOU in the comments I promise. I need some distraction my pretend friends, and this will be fun for Al and I . The winner gets this beachy summer blue tyedyed bag. It is perfect for anyknitter. It has a little side zipper on the outside tucked away. It has a little inside zippered pocket as well. I will be putting things in the pirze bag as we go along. Al and I will pick a winner from those who are kind enough to comment. SO here goes: You only have to answer ONE to enter. *What is the last fear you conquered? *What should I ask for knitwise for my upcoming 49th birthday? *How are you at transitions? What helps you make them? Transtition like: your children moving out, your pets being ill, moving to a new neighborhood, seasonal transtions? *What is the worst thing/best you ever knit? *Send me somew...

This is a call for knitters to knit a baby blanket no bigger than a cookie sheet. Blankets will be distributed in the NICU where I work. We just don't get many blankets. We need them. Traditional baby colors will do, but we'd love you to branch out a bit. Use up those leftovers if you wish. You could win a lovely prize. All who send a blanket by November 1st, ALL SAINTS DAY, you angels you, will be entered in the drawing. Here are the rules: Blanket must be made of yarn which is washable. Sorry, Hospital rules. It cannot be bigger than a cookie sheet. Smaller is welcome also. That's it. Those are the rules. I'll post the prize by next week. Mail a blanket to me Kathy B if you need my snail mail address, email me at Harpnut@gmail.com
