Thanks to all of you who sent a strand and played along.
The yellow Art yarn super merino sock yarn winner is
Lynn S. from Evanston.  :)  Lynn co- incidentally
adopted two kittens that I had fostered last year.
Fixie and Bonk , now Mr. Whiskers and Teddy are very lucky to have their forever home with Lynn.  They must have brought her luck !

The Red Regia prize goes to Sarah in Phoenix !

Yarn is on the way ladies. :)

Third prize goodies go to Kim of HandEye Crafts!

As for the Yarn, I'm putting it all in my hanging suet feeder, without the suet.  The birds are building their nests and they will have colorful warm yarn for their chicks to grow on.  When it stops raining, I'll get a picture for you.
This is Sadie.
After all my blah blah about not wanting to walk with a partner,
Sadie's mom called me.
She needs me to walk her 3 times a week.
We started last week and I am so happy to be walking a dog again.
Getting paid to workout is simply the best.
I think Huck sent this my way.

Finally, have you seen the Art Kathleen scarf ?
It came in a YarnMarket email yesterday.
I may have to knit one….
after all, its named Kathleen :)

Fun, fun, fun - congratulations to all the winners. I saved up all the ends of my embroidery threads this past winter and put them out on our picnic table for the birds, but between winds and rain I think they are all gone. I'll have to remember the empty suet feeder idea next time!

I am so very excited to be getting the yarn! The boys must have been my good luck charm. I have never, ever made socks or used double pointed needles even though I have knit for many years so this will be my chance to try them. Happy colors for a dreary, dray day.
Hope Rozzy is doing better. When we inherited my parent's 23 year old cat, she had accidents too so we had to take her to the litter box too. We called it "peeing the cat". They do tell us when they have had enough; Hugs to rozzy for all of us here.

Congratulations, winners!

Ahh, my guess was correct - the snippets was for the birds.

How exciting to have a walking buddy. That's what I should do.

What a great idea for the yarn!! Yesterday nurse/photographer son came by and said I had to take a quick ride with him. He took me to a spot under the trees in the park and set up his spotting scope. I couldn't believe the sight of two baby hawks in a nest about a mile away. They were yellow and fuzzy and so cute! Mama hawk was flying around the nest watching for dangers and she had her eye on us. I can't wait to go back and watch them grow.

Happy walking with Sadie. I'm so happy for you.

Congrats to the winners! I kind of thought you might have the birds in mind. Too bad you can't photograph their yarn-enhanced nests! Have fun dog-walking!

Sadie choked me up a bit. I'm pretty sure Huck did send her your way. Wish we could walk with you too.

Love the idea of using the yarn bits for the birds! Aren't you the clever one?!

Congrats to the winners. I put my yarn bits in a grapevine ball with mixed with Max's fur. I love looking at it hanging in a tree.
