Easily Amused

The purple yarn gifted to me is going to be a baby blanket. A friend is having her first baby: a girl.  This will be my gift to her.   I have discovered that simple cabling keeps me interested in my project.  I'm pretty easily amused.
Here we have One blind cat with 3 blind mice.
Here we have the best marinade find of the summer.  MMmm so good on chicken as a marinade.  Great grilled up or in the Wok.

We had some patty pan squash with our Garlic Rosemary Citrus Sauced chicken last night.  Fireman loves patty pan squash.  Why have I never thought of growing some in our garden.  I"ve grown pumpkins and acorn squash which require lots of space.  Have you grown your patty pan squash? Is it more space friendly?   Next year.....I'm growing some.

Is anything amusing you easily today?  :)

Well, that picture of Pie amused me. LOL

Other than that ....watching John amuse some kids at the gym was pretty amusing. My trainer's kids were there and John was making faces in the mirror at them. He's pretty amusing . . . but considering I was trying to balance on the Bosu ball . . . probably best not to laugh.

OMG. That blankie is stunning. STUNNING!!

And so is Pie.

The fur-girls amuse me. I love it when they get so excited, whether it's because I'm home, they're ready for a walk, there's a squirrel in sight...

Love the cabled blanket and the precious lavender yarn - it is stunning.

It doesn't take much to amuse me these days.

Pie is so cute with his mice. The pups always amuse me. DH and I were laughing at their antics this morning. They were playing keep-away with a Nerf ball until Macy decided it would be much more fun if they each had half a ball.

Cute photo of Pie! What a pretty blanket, too. Have you watched that cable video from Brick Street Bungalow's blog? It's great and definitely "amusing" in that it should make cables much easier.

That is the sweetest blanket!! Love the cables!!

Your pictures of Pie amuse me...just enjoy them so much! Also, the little rabbit out here that is so insistent on getting on to my grass for some nibbling amuses me as well.

No I am not amused at all, I have a ripping headache and can't seem to make it past row 7 of my new sweater without making a mistake. Love the pictures of Pie.
Hugs,

The cabled blankie is lovely. I am not a fan of doing cables but I love how they look.
I grew patty pan squash last year and got a lot of vine but no squash. I was so disappointed because I have never tasted it and I can't find it in the markets around here.
I haven't been amused yet today but it's still early.

The blanket looks gorgeous and squishy! Looks like you are flying with it! And I got a good chuckle indeed with the blind cat and the blind mice.

That marinade sounds DELICIOUS.

I'm usually put off by cables, but every now and then I find myself in the mood to tackle them.

Not exactly amused ... but something special happened to me today. I had to drop something off at the house of a very old woman - a lady in her mid 90s. She had some communication difficulties, but as I was leaving she offered to recite a poem to me (and of course I said yes). She ended up reciting two beautiful poems (both rather long) completely from memory, with perfect inflection and gestures. She said that poetry is what keeps her mind active.

I Googled the poems when I got back to work and she hadn't missed a word of either. It made my day. :)

I was totally amused by Araignee's blog post today and your sweet little blind kitty. Your cabled baby blanket is lovely too.

I like the blanket. The simple cabling makes a big impact. Sometimes, simple is better. Great job.

Patty Pan squash is definitely more space friendly than pumpkins or acorn squash. Quite compact -- more like zukes.
