Burning the midnite oil. I have been up late this week, well late for me, knitting. Its the only bearable time of day to be out on my screened porch. I've started a new project! (I know I said I would work on the shawl, but its too dull to work on for more than a few rows at a time.) I'll surprise you tomorrow and let you know what it is. It has to do with JULY. Something traditional one does around this time. Can you make a guess? Go ahead. Whats my project? Of course there is a prize up for grabs. I'll make it a prize r/t the theme of this July project...........go ahead, guess. And let the fireworks begin. Hee hee. THat was a little misleading. I miss Jan my best knitting teacher.

This post is r/t knitting b/c I used buttons bought from last years Stitches Midwest for the corners of my little pillow. I like a red/white/blue theme for my screened porch accents. Found this little 3.00 bag at Old Navy. Fell in love with Salt Water Taffy's hair and cut the handles off. Stuffed it with some batting, sewed her up and added the buttons. I love it. Great idea on Quiet Life's blog. I'm going to particpate in her 100 word blog day. Check it out. This is right up my alley. Shawl was revived by Lynnette at 3 Bags Full, I'm back on track. Will commit to 4 rows a night. I'm ready to start something new..... I miss Jan my best knitting teacher.

When last I put it away, I was tired and has miscounted the lace business and made another mistake. 5. Last summer I didn't know about lifelines. 6. Should I : ask my LYS owner to get me to a starting point again, while I shop for more yarn? OR try to do it myself and risk a visual error that I may regret? Help. S.O.S. Code Blue. Okay I try to keep to knitting on this blog. I feel like I should be talking about making a silk purse from a sow's ear. Have I told you how much I love my Pony needles? (hence the ponies in this blog) These needles are so comfortable I am going to have to get more...how can I go back to aggrivating noisy needles? These are soundless. And see this little lamb? Well she is in the blog because I am committed to wool. I know Ive already blogged about the cotton issues, garments I've labored over succombing to the force of gravity while being worn, and looking just plain foolish, but I am still not over it.
