Bears OH MY

I came across these gorgeous quilted animals on Pinterest.

Yes, I know the PIN is a time suck, but I love it. It relaxes me.
My favorite quilt hoop is the big bear.

Allison and Nathan camped in the Rockies over Labor day weekend.  Yes, she actually had the holiday off....  They had to put their food into a bear box. Yikes.  Now that I've seen a wild bear and her cubs in Yosemite I don't need to cross paths again.

Speaking of bears and Cubs
MAGIC NUMBER is 9 folks.
Someone is going to have to help me in the coming weeks....
I'm so sure we are going to the World Series.

When I saw the title I thought "oh no", not a bear out the back window of your new house!! Anyway, love the quilt bear. Al had a holiday off? Bethany, Adam and David all worked but it's okay because as things stand right now, they have Thanksgiving off. You know, however, that things don't often stand for long.

My brother and SIL before kids went camping somewhere, maybe Yosemite, and forgot to put the food in the bear box. They got to the campsite late. What came along? A bear and nearby campers helped by making noise to scare it off.

I also LOVE Pinterest - and those quilted animals are darling!
Love the hoops - I stay off pinterest - I have too many claims on my time already!

Most campgrounds in this area and further west require bear-proof containers for food, and the garbage cans in the campground are bear-proof, too. There is NO WAY, I would camp in a tent or soft-shell camper in the wilderness.

I spent my honeymoon with The First Mister canoe camping (his idea) through northern Canada and we had to always secure our food from bears. Imagine sleeping in the complete dark knowing a bear could tear through your thin little tent at any time looking for a snack. It was terrifying. We were divorced soon after.

Yep, I'm familiar with camping and keeping food away from bears. Somewhere there is a picture of my Mom feeding a bear. She was a dare-devil for sure. Love those quilted animals...all the colors are great.

Love the quilts animals. I haven't gotten into their test time sucker...yet. I keep hearing about it though. We've had many bear sightings around our campground at the lake this summer. A bit scary.
Blessings,
Betsy

We are definitely not going near any world series we are at the very bottom of the list.
