September Hopes

I found my new LYS.
Needles and Pins in Delevan is amazing.

Nestled in this little farmhouse are skeins and glorious skeins of yarn.  It may have looked quiet from the outside but inside it was a buzz.  People were taking classes, enjoying one another and planning their next knits.
I found my new knit.  I'm making the Gapstow shawl in malabrigo in Central park's book 8.

My colors are above.
Your comments to me were a comfort !
A huge wonderful hug.
I'll see my mom weekly.  That was our plan and it has been easy so far.   I'm still going back to work in the Shelters OR once a week.  I can't give that up yet.  I'll see my mom the same day.

The sweet corn is peak.
The sun is warm and the humidity has dropped.
It is so beautiful out.

September is going to be wonderful.

So I'm guessing you didn't move TOO far from your old home. That's nice that you'll still have some connection back there.

Glad that you found a new LYS. It's good to have one close by.
That little farmhouse looks like a lovely place to spend some quality time crafting and communing. Sorry to hear about your mom. Humidity here has been high since I returned from the States two days ago. We won't have truly wonderful weather days until later in the year. Take care, Tammy

Nice, nice, very nice! Glad you found a local shop - always fun. And happy to hear you are staying connected with the shelter and able to see your Mom frequently. Happy September!

That's just the sweetest little LYS. Lucky you!!!
I double up skating, shopping and Daddio visits once a week. It helps to have other missions to accomplish on the same day to keep me going.

Love the colors you selected for your shawl. A bustling LYS is a good sign that the knitters in the area are HAPPY, so enjoy.

Your plan of seeing your mom and working in the OR is realistic and will be good for everyone involved.

Such a pretty pattern and yarn to make it with. The yarn shop looks like a lovely place to go sit and visit and play with your needles. I didn't realize your move was so close. How nice that you can keep up with some of the things you love, not the least visiting with your Mom. I'm so happy that things are looking up for you my friend.
Blessings,
Betsy
Love that shawl! I've been to Delevan! We stayed at Lake Lawn Lodge near there several years ago. Very pretty area. You're going to love it. Sounds like the LYS is awesome!

I spent a number of summers at the Chicago GS camp which isn't too far from Delevan! Would you believe I just bought that same knitting book for a different pattern. I can't wait till it gets here so I can look up yours! We are headed your way soon and hope to see you!

Hooray for new yarn shops! Your colors are pretty --- but, then, I'm a sucker for purple.

How fun for you to find this LYS nearby. The shawl is pretty. Can't wait to see more. Glad you're happy in your new digs and are still close enough to see your mum.
Love the colours you chose for your shawl!
