Monday Q and A!~

Latest felted stocking. Knit picks wool of the andes by far and away the best yarn for felting these stockings.

Happy Happy August. Monday. Summer. Day.

*Do you have a mosquito bite?

*Have you been to a garage or rummage sale this summer?

*Have you purchased a knit pattern this summer?

*Have you seen someone else knitting in public this summer?

*Have you knitted with cotton this summer?

*Have you used Ravelry's road trip planner this summer?

*Have you wished Katherine a Happy Birthday Yet?

1. Yes on my foot.
No signs of west nile virus yet.
Then again I don't know the signs.
I imagine them though: Fever, yarn delerium, the like.

2. Yes.  I've been to garage sales and rummage sales.
Looking for fun art for the new house.

3. Nope. Haven't purchased a pattern yet this summer.

4.Yes.  Early on I think I saw someone in a doctor's office knitting in the waiting room.  Nothing recently though...

5. No.  I have not touched cotton yarn this summer.

6. Yes. I love Ravelry's road trip planner. I use it to find yarny shops that happen to appear when I am at the wheel and fireman is taking a break from driving.  Odd....isn't it

7. Yes. ON FB. But I'll wish dear Katherine a Happy Birthday today again.  I wish we'd meet.  She can do a flip turn.
She inspired me to cut off my hair!!

YOU?

1. Mosquito bites? Covered. I talk all about it in tomorrow's post.
2. No. Never go to them. I have too much stuff to adopt other people's junk.
3. No but I've been close. All that handspun from the TdF has to be something someday.
4. Yes. There is a mom at the rink. I've never talked to her because I am on the ice in a lesson and she is gone when I am done. It's a big pink something she is making.
5. No. No road trips in my future. No kitty sitters.
6. HAPPY BIRTHDAY KATHERINE!

1. No mosquito bite *knocks on wood*. I learned when you get one, the protein the mosquito injects into you stops bloodflow which makes the bite itchy. We try the suggested method of running a hot spoon over the bite to help release the proteins.
2. I haven't shopped at a garage sale. I am so curious and my girls want to and want to go the flea market to try to find old LPS toy sets.
3. You bet; I purchased Lacy Loo, Smooth Operator Socks, and Wayfarer Hat.
4. No; I don't see knitters around.
5. Yes, but I didn't knit with the cotton this summer; I crocheted with it for the Summer Spa Swap, #2.
6. No; I didn't know of the Ravelry Road Trip Planner.
7. Hau'oli la hanau, Katherine. May your day be full of sunshine and rainbows.

I'm a day late because of no internet yesterday but hope I can still play! :-)

No mosquito bites. Mosquitos are pretty rare up here.
No garage sales. I have enough "stuff".
Yes. The Random Act of Color" shawl. I usually use free patterns off Ravelry but fell in love with the story behind this shawl and that the proceeds were going to charity.
Note this summer, but I knit everywhere I go.
Yes. 10 dishcloths this week.
Nope.
I don't know who Katherine is, but Happy Birthday Katherine!

Blessings,
