More Christmas Stockings

Fezzik photo bombing the pre felted stocking.
This is the stocking after felting.
NOTE: red did not  run!

Nancy's color catcher idea worked like a charm.
You buy the little sheets and throw them in the wash and voila! They catch the red that did release in the wash.
Way to go Nancy!

I remembered to make a tag to hang this one.

I used Lambs Pride  wool in white and Ella
Rae in red.   I only had a tiny bit of green.

I'm off to the yarn shop.
I need to make more stockings.

In other news, I had a bag of Beanie babies I could not toss in the garbage.  I went to the local ice cream stand and asked a mom and kids if they wanted them.
They were thrilled.
WIN WIN!

Happy HOT JULY TUESDAY.

May all your troubles be little ones.
My mom said that to me at trying times.

I love your stockings. Are they for you or for gifts?

What a sweet story about the beanie baby give away. I gave away a big bag of teddy bears a few years ago and it was such a good feeling to know that the teddies would be loved by a child! I collected bears for years so I had a bunch. I still have quite a few and I love each one dearly. I hope you kept a few beanies.

Who are you making the stockings for? I've crocheted several xmas stockings and love having homemade ones to hang up. That's very nice of you to give the beanie babies to those kids. WTG! ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

Such a cute stocking!
Great idea for the Beanies. I think ours are going on a yard sale.
I wonder if the color catchers work in handwashing??

Ooh, this one is my favorite! The stripes are so happy. I was so tempted to buy that City Tweed but I withheld because I went out and bought yarn for my niece and nephew's gifts today. I'm glad it's easier for you to comment. I had fun perusing the new and free themes on WP and finally settled on this one. I didn't like how my gaping mouth from the last podcast was hanging out there for everyone to see so I liked the simple yet pretty layout of this Spun theme.

I wilt in this weather.
I can not knit at the moment due to tendonitis and fibro flare. Oh so miss it but the pain will hopefully go away soon or with time.
Hope you are staying cool.
Air conditioners are getting a workout.

Very cute stocking.

That was a great idea for the Beanie Babies.

I did something similar. Three of the neighborhood girls were playing outside next door. I asked mom if we could have a little give away.

Each girl picked one in rotation. There were probably 30-35 of them. Then they spent the afternoon trading with each other. Mom was happy. Kids were happy. I was happy they all went to a good home.

Love that stocking; it makes me think of a peppermint stick. Did this one felt better?
