What I'm not Doing

At the knit shop One of the teachers was working on this cotton/wool blend top. See? The Pattern is Glow.  Berg is the yarn. The teacher loves the pattern and the yarn.  I love the color.

Our week has been filled with good news.  Healthy doctor visits after some worries and Many prayers.   Lots of good changes going on at the Animal Shelter too.

So I'm not worrying.  Phew.  I am a worrier by nature.  I fight it.   My personal mantra for the week was, "HUSH" to my rollicking worrying brain.

What else am I not doing?
Cooking tonight.  Too hot.  Will order out from our favorite middle eastern place in town.

I'm also not:
cleaning the house in this heat and humidity.

and finally I'm not going to spend anymore time in the grocery store than is absolutely necessary. I"m an aisle wandered and I waste time that way.

What are you not doing today?

Funny that you should post about this subject today! I am not doing anything. I have been running tired so I took the day off and decided to do nothing. Meals here (it's getting hot in Texas) have been reduced to lots and lots of salads. Bill is amazed at how many different salads I can make.

So far --- not much of anything. LOL

I did a little knitting, a little computer time ......watched a little news (all of it BAD!) ......and watched my cat chill out on the back of the sofa with NO WORRIES. He has such a peaceful little face.

Watching him, calms me.

I am a wanderer to when it comes to shopping. I go into a zone and just find myself looking in aisle I have no business in. That's why I like online shopping the best. I am more focused at home.
I like the idea of hushing a worried brain. I'll have to try that.

I haven't been doing much at all for a couple of weeks since I hit my noggin. I know one thing, I'm NOT doing is watching any news. I, too, am a worrier by nature and I have to stay away from the news or I tend to get very depressed about the state of the world.
Blessings,
Betsy

Because of the heat and humidity in the area I have thought about going to Costco and spending a few minutes in the refrigerated section of the store.
I kind of wilt in humidity and other than one year after college living in another part of the country I have always lived in the Midwest and with Summer comes humidity.

I do not know what to make for dinner either. I actually and so uninspired when it comes to cooking dinner. Hence the reason when I bring in dinner to my parents it is usually enchiladas made with the baked chicken from Costco. It is easy just a bit time consuming. I know it is helpful to my parents to make dinner as both parents are older and have serious health issues. But it is the drive in that sometimes get to me. It is 40 minutes on a good day and well around here you know that sometimes that is not the case.

Hopefully some of my sibling who do not live around here will be coming in and they will be able to help in some manner.

I'm actually NOT not doing some things. :-) I'm meeting Gracie for crab salad for lunch and then we're going swimming. I've been too ill for a month to swim and I'm happy to feel well enough to go today. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

Kathy, I'm glad there has been good, health news. I can worry too; I even get a little stressed when we have an event to go to. It's dumb but I can't help it. I am NOT scrubbing down the showers today, but I will do the toilet and sink and have the girls do the bathroom floors.
So glad to hear that you have had some good news health wise! Long may it continue. What am I not doing, no idea! ha ha!

Today was a heavenly day. I woke up without the alarm and putzed all morning, reading blogs and commenting. I went for a walk twice today - all good, and soaked up some sunshine. I worked on some fabric scraps, trimmed, and ironed. Thus, I have NOT had a bad day. Life is good.

I worked 9 hours and now have a headache, but I downloaded that beautiful pattern so thank you for the great sweater idea.

I'm grateful for the positive dr. appointments for you. I worry a lot too so I understand all of it. It's not hot here but I very much understand the desire to NOT. I am lucky and my household often will just go along with my moods, especially when I worry to help set me right. xoxo.

It is hot today! However, I biked 15 miles and am cooking dinner for a friend -- crazy since we don't have AC. But it's working out so far.

I am not crying over the misery my of a psychotic daughter-in-law today.
I need to get myself together.
She is stalking me.
I can't even pour my heart out in my own blog because she is hateful there, too.
I am not crying today.Oh, sorry-that was probably just too much seriousness.

I am not going to stay home today because I have to go to the doctor's.
There, that sounded less crazy.
