Knitted Necklace LOVE

Today I am going to blog using my microphone again.  This is all new and I think it is actually more difficult dicatating than typing.
I'm all about being a lifelong learner so I WILL master this.

These are my giant hasta flowers about to bloom.  I know that I've shown them to you in the past but I prefer them in this  stage. They look very prehistoric to me.  Think Jurassic Park ....

May I introduce you to my finished knitted necklace.   I love this pattern ; it is the Assemblage pattern by a woman named Kirsten Johnstone.  (look on Ravelry)  I will be casting on another today. I love the look.  I just need to find the right yarn with the cotton blend so I can wear one this summer. I love the pattern;  it was easy to understand and fun to work on.
I used a leftover sock yarn for my first shown here.
Then I washed it and blocked it.
What?
You read that right.  I actually did to make the stitches more even.  There is no finishing to this masterpiece!  What?
Potato chip knitting here I come.

This is a photo of the way it looks in the back. So as you can see  there is a  section of the necklace that is solid. This is very easy to understand as you work the pattern.  I hope you give it a try if you're looking for something that would make a great knitted jewelry piece.
Life is very busy at the moment but I am grateful that it is all good.
When I get a little goofy I sit myself down and watch AMY BETH at the Fat Squirrel podcasting or Stepanies's podcasts and I'm transported to that wondrous knit place where we speak our own language and we laugh....a lot.

Very cute necklace. I could see adding beads would make it fun too!

Happy knitting!

Love the necklace. I can imagine knitting it with a different color for each "strand."

I've made a couple of necklace/scarves like that, except the loops weave in and out of each other. Such a great way to put yarn leftovers to work!

I'll have to go look at the pattern because I can't figure out if it is an I-cord or a rolled flat piece. I like it but would probably never wear it. I don't wear a lot of necklaces--just bracelets and rings. But it would make great Christmas gifts for necklace wearers.
Great necklace! Enjoy wearing it. Dictation is definitely an art, but with practice you can easily get the hang of it. If I can try and learn to knit I am sure you can do dictation! My new podcast is out today if you want another to watch! Happy knitting!!

So chic! I am going to have to give those podcasts a try because there is NOTHING on tv that interests me anymore. I need something to knit to because nothing is getting knit.

That necklace looks like fun...I'll have to add it to my "someday/maybe" knit list; it's growing...

I think recording your post works...require much editing? Maybe I'll try it...

Cheers~

How fun to use a microphone to dictate. But yeah, it's not foolproof like keyboard swiping on the phone. It's great how you try out different patterns. And I don't know if that was my podcast mentioned but if so, mahalo nui loa!

I like to knit I-cord, too; this looks gorgeous! Nice yarn for the work.
Kudos for trying out the new technology! Good for you!

What a beautiful necklace! I wouldn't have thought to block it. I barely watch T.V. At all anymore. Knitting podcasts are my absolute favorite form of entertainment. I laugh and silly me, I think these people are my friends. I wish we could all get together and knit sometime.
Blessings,
Betsy
