Just for Fun , and Not Much Knitting

I'm working on a really fun knit up with my Big Bulky A.S.A.P. yarn but no photos just yet.   I am at that Oh I love this project, when can I sit down and focus on it, stage.....
oh yeah that's called Startitis.

So in the mean time aren't these Corning Ware dishes awesome?
I love Corning ware.   Reminds me of my mom.
She had the dark blue cornflowers and white dishes.
We passed these up in Knoxville.

I'm sorry all you shoe folks, but I had to share these babies.  I'm not buying them but I love them.
I'd want to have them off my feet more than on to see the scrolls.
OluKai is in all the:  I'm really cool in this store, but I don't really know how to roll a kayak or climb El Capitan places.

Late to the party for Cinco de Mayo, but Just in Queso!
Estoy riendo.  (I'm Laughing)
:
So, I love all the Jan Brett illustrated children's books.
This coffee mug would be great for my Swedish friends.
It was some ridiculous price that could buy me lots more yarn so I passed.  OH, and it had YOU ARE GOING TO BREAK this written all over it.
Sigh thats why we cant have nice things.
Finally,
I love the colors of this kayak.
We all know my crazy kayak story from last fall,
so I just enjoyed looking at this one.
Turned over.
Not how I ever want to be again!

Seen anything fun lately?

Love the sandals!

The doldrums are happening here - not knitting, sewing, or doing much of anything but keeping busy with lots of appointments.

Cute shoes.
I am a shoe lover.
I wear Chaco and Vionic sandals during the summer--arch support and the shoes do not look like they are helpful.

Funny you should mention it ..................we just went KAYAKING! Fortunately, we both stayed upright the whole time. ;-)

LOVE those sandals! AND, I know the perfect person for that DALA horse cup. But....yes, it DOES have broken written all over it.

As for the Corning Ware. I still have two pieces. One is the cornflower original pattern and one is just a plain turquoise colored small loaf pan.

I've never heard of those sandals but I am going to check them out for the next time we go kayaking!
I love corning ware too - I bought a couple of casseroles from a thrift store - I have the cream ones with the veggies on the side.

I just read Coastal Living magazine and in the ad section they had earrings to look like Japanese fishing floats.. out of a blue stone sphere wrapped in twisted gold wire like the rope around the real floats. I looked them up on the internet and they were off the charts too expensive. No buying them! I like the Corning refrigerator boxes you found. How much were they? ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

I still have a Corning piece...white with blue, over 40 years old, but it got separated from its glass lid in one of my 15 moves...or maybe it got broken...or is still not unpacked from the last move...ah the mystery of it all...I would want to hang up those sandals to admire as works of art! xx
Corning Ware.....I remember that stuff....use to have a whole set of it. There's only one lonely butter dish left now. It's white with orange wheat sprigs on the cover. Kayaking looks fun in a dangerous sort of way.

I still use my Corning Ware. I love it. I even drug the kids through the Corning factory one year on vacation.
I saw some fun new colors of Kroy sock yarn at AC Moore's today but I passed on it. Now I regret it. If it's still there next time I visit I just may have to bring it on home.

I always look up paddle boards, I want one but they are too expensive and I have no time to use one. I will stick with yarn.

I tried to buy those sandals! They were just too heavy for me. They are gorgeous though!!

Love the sandals, but I would probably wear them and ruin the scrollwork. We got two bowl sets of Pyrex for wedding gifts 38 years ago and I still use them. I see them in antique stores quite often for upwards of $100/set. No kayaks for me. Since I don't swim at all I try to stay in big boats when I'm on the water. Lots of yarny projects for me right now. More starts than I'm comfortable having. Have a great Sunday!
Blessings,
Betsy

Looks like a fun stroll through this store! I still use my old corning ware, too.
I was married in the 70's; I have lots of Cornin Ware still....
Lots of fun things! The sandals are incredible aren't they!
