Alright, bloggy pals.  This is my Thin Ice Shawl coming along
albeit s-l-o-w-l-y.
I need your reassurance that it will really block into a semicircle magically some day.
Right now it looks like a big old mistake.
I'm so glad I didn't rip it out a month ago and I just put it aside to simmer.
So, if you have to burst my bubble, that's okay.
I have many bubbles....
Score this: Kavu bag: last years model 60% off.
I'm getting compliments right and left as I use this baby.
Perfect purse size for me.

It holds a paper calendar because Something in me can't get organized with my iphone calendar.
I need those pages....
Thank Goodness all the little calendars are on clearance now too.

Finally, I took this photo of goat art in Knoxville.
Just because!

I did a shawl once that was shaped like that and I found after I re-read the pattern that I'd missed some stitches on the edge. Hope yours will block like you want!! Love the goat.. we used to raise goats. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
It's going to be just fine - blocking is absolute MAGIC!

Kathy, I'm sure it'll block out fine. Give it a good soak, at least 15 minutes when its ready. Thanks for the cheer this read-a-thon morning.

Once in awhile I dare to enter an event on my iPhone, but I still cling to my paper pocket calendar :) I have never blocked anything, but am glad to see others who have are cheering you on :) Happy you found your just right bargain bag, and shared your goat art with us :) xx

Your shawl is going to block beautifully!! It just looks wonky now because of the stitch changes.

Oh my the goat!! I think I'm in love! How could you leave without bringing him home with you?

Lace looks terrible until you wet it and stretch it all out. Your doesn't even look that bad before blocking. You should see the one I'm working on. Ouch.

Blocking works wonders! Love that color, and it looks like a really nice pattern. Nice cowl in your previous post, too.
I wouldn't worry....it will be fine and I love the color of it. So pretty!

I love the colors in your shawl. Blocking lace is like magic. The yarn relaxes after a good soak and stretches into a lovely piece.

The shawl will be beautiful when blocked, there is a bit of magic when things in a big bunched up mess get blocked. Hang in there with the shawl.

Blocking is MAGIC! The mesh is very open and will open right up to match the stockinette areas...you will be amazed!

Blocking will definitely help and it will look great.
