The Blanket Slowly Grows

I've been adding a colored row here and there to my sock yarn leftover blanket.
I'd say I'm about half done.
Do you see one of the seams going down the blanket?
This blanket is going to be quite warm as it is a double sided creation.
It is Joan Hamer's The Mindless Knitting Tv Watching Scrap User Upper Afghan.

This mailbox amused me.
Clearly someone loves to bowl!

Fezzik crawled into the electric blanket when it fell on the floor.
I'm trying to be patient, but End of March weather always taxes me.
I'm so ready for porch weather.
I dont' think we've seen the sun in a week.
Not today either.

How do you handle streaks of really lousy weather?
I'd love to know

Must-stay-inside-weather is an excuse for me not to run and be lazy. I love it, but El NiƱo is probably done with us this year. Your blanket is like a watercolor of fiber!

Hi Kathy B! I just enjoyed a nice scrolling back visit with you :) I so admire all the socks you are creating and your left over sock yarn blanket is growing beautifully as well. Hang in there a bit more...your Spring is coming along...honest! xx

I love your blanket! I'm going looking for the pattern today.

Our weather has been strange too. We had a warm, sunny day yesterday and literally out of the blue a freak storm hit at about 7:30 last night--hail, heavy rain, lightning and lots of ugliness. The weather man said the word tornado a couple of times and that makes me really nervous. I don't like evenings like that!

Love the pretty yarns and colors in your blanket. It was sunny this morning, wind and rain this afternoon. I'm ready for porch and deck weather too.

As you probably have heard.. Oregon has a reputation of having rain all the time. So.. I make the inside of the house a light and bright place with seasonal decorations and fun things. I hope you get some sun soon. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

I don't know the answer to your question, but I will NEXT week. We are supposed to have FIVE DAYS of rain! YIKES!

Could that Fezzik get any cuter????? He knows right how to spend a chilly morning!
Your blanket looks great doesn't it. You are so right, I am definitely ready for better weather, raining here and forecast to continue over Easter. We all need sun, so I hope you get some soon! xx

I stay indoors when the weather's nasty and sew, knit, or read. I seem to be doing that a LOT lately.

Love the blanket and Fezzik's sweet face.

So, did you get snow like Wisconsin did? LOve that blanket! It seems you have lots of scraps in the same color range! In our gray weather we do lots of indoor stuff, but we also try to get outside when it's not pouring~~~ Sorry, had to re-post as I accidentally hit the enter button lots of times which made a very long post of nothingness!

That blanket is just gorgeous!! I keep telling myself I need to do this with my giant bag of sock yarn.
As for lousy weather, we just had a string of it and the only thing I can do to sort myself out is to get into mischief which either means starting projects I shouldn't be starting or making soap I don't need. If I don't, I'll eat everything in the house.

I am amazed you have knit so much on the sock blanket! Very pretty.
I love to deep clean a closet or cupboard when I am stir crazy! A very good knit and a Netflix day also works!

I take vitamin D and try to keep busy...or I nap. Love that picture of Fezzik!
I love your sock blanket!!!!! I just started one with little mittered squares but I have a looooooong long long ways to go to catch up to you. I use to hate end of March weather too. It use to seem like Spring would never get there. My remedy was to pack up and move south. LOL!
