Its a and OR kind of Meme

*Is sleep your friend or your foe?

*Mindless knits or lace charts?

*Should we hike or should we bike?

*Do you knit at a certain time of the day or impromptu?

*Stephen West or Ann Budd designs?

*Shawls around your shoulders or backwards snuggling your neck?

*Haircuts planned and frequent or whenever the hair is driving you crazy?

*Faux fur fashion or chalked hair fad?

*Stitches convention or Sheep and Wool festivals?

*Keeping your New Years resolutions or fa ghetta bout it?

My answers:
SLEEP is my dear friend.  I feel sorry for Fireman who can be up half the night on any given night.  His job messed his sleep up more than mine messed up mine.

I've knit about 2 things in the last 12 years that involved lace.
All that reversing in your head and looking at the chart.....just give me cables instead.  How some of you knit lace shawls just amazes me.

Today we should hike.  The Chicago March winds are brutal and biking would be no fun.

I usually knit at around 3 pm and in the evening if I am free.
Now that I'm retired I get to knit every day.

I love the look of Stephen West designs, but give me Ann Budds patterns any day.  She's so clear and she gives  you options in her patterns.  She's so well worth the money in  my opinion.

Shawls wrapped around my neck with the point in front is my favorite way to wear a shawl.  I can't do shawl pins without looking like the shawl is falling down all around me.

Haircuts wait until I can stand the hair no more. I've never been a regular interval haircut girl.

I love the chalked hair on young people today.  I just love it.
(kim your daughter looks amazing to me)

Sheep and Wool Festival anyday over Stitches.
I got bored in the classes at Stitches.  They were just too long for me.  I have to see the animals you know.  So Sheepy festivals for me anyway.

I'm keeping my New Years resolution well this year.   So far.
I've recycled all my coffee grounds into the garden even as it has been frozen and snow covered.

Join me if you'd like!

*Is sleep your friend or your foe? I'm sleeping better lately than I have in years. Not sure why.

*Mindless knits or lace charts? Depends on my mood. Sometimes I like the challenge. Sometimes I like to read a book while I knit.

*Should we hike or should we bike? Hike most definitely.

*Do you knit at a certain time of the day or impromptu? I knit ALL of the time.

*Stephen West or Ann Budd designs? Not sure I've knit either one.

*Shawls around your shoulders or backwards snuggling your neck? I wear them both ways.

*Haircuts planned and frequent or whenever the hair is driving you crazy? Very infrequent hair cuts.

*Faux fur fashion or chalked hair fad? What is chalked hair? I guess neither.

*Stitches convention or Sheep and Wool festivals? Sheep and Wool festivals most definitely.

*Keeping your New Years resolutions or fa ghetta bout it? So far, so good!

*Is sleep your friend or your foe? I've used an APAP for nearly 13 years, so sleep is a friend - before that it was a foe.

*Mindless knits or lace charts? I don't like to use charts when knitting. I'll knit lace if it's an easy repeat or has row by row instructions.

*Should we hike or should we bike? I love to bike but rarely ride anymore.

*Do you knit at a certain time of the day or impromptu? Anytime is knitting time.

*Shawls around your shoulders or backwards snuggling your neck? I prefer them around my shoulders.

*Haircuts planned and frequent or whenever the hair is driving you crazy? Every four or five weeks.

1. Zzz's are my friend.
2. I say one of each - a lace WIP for home and a mindless for on the road or for TV time.
3. Hiking and biking are awesome.
4. I knit when I can. The daytime is best b/c I get the best light w/these jacked-up-eyesight-eyes.
5. I've only knitted one West design and it was hat; I did have to figure things out a bit and probably seeked help for it. I love Ann Budd's Getting Started Knitting Socks book; it's the best investment I've bought.
6. I think I like snugging neckwear. I like to cover all bases so to speak.
7. Girl, I am all about the 'do. I count eight weeks from my last haircut while stalking haircut ideas on Pinterest. I'm getting one this Friday!
8. I personally feel wearing faux fur is too young for me. I like hair chalk. Haven't tried it yet but want to try Kool Aid on me and the girls.
9. I'd love to go to more wool festivals but they're not common around here. I did go to one way up north but it was more for spinners.
10. Checking off bucket list items has gone to crap so far this year.
I do enjoy reading your questions and answers! xx

4. I am a creature of habit.
5. I don't think I have ever knit anything from either but I admire their work.
6. Shoulders.
7. Cut my own hair from time to time.
8. Love the new crazy hair colors. I am working up the courage.
9. Sheep and Wool baby! Weeks ago now!!!!
10. Don't make resolutions. I know I won't keep them. The spirit is WEAK.

Sleep is my friend, love charts. Hike definitely and I knit at all times of the day. I've never knit anything from either, but someday.. I wear my shawls both ways, depending on the weather. I love having my hair done, so it would have to be planned and frequent, if only for the luxury factor. I so want chalked hair - purple. If it has animals, I'm there. Keeping resolutions/intentions? Some days are better than others in that regard. Love these Monday memes!

1. Friend for sure! And I love afternoon naps.
2. Both – like to have a lace shawl going and a mindless knit like plain socks or a spa cloth
3. Love both – but hiking is my favorite
4. Usually first thing in the a.m. with my coffee, sometimes at lunch at work if I can and then after dinner
5. Haven’t knit anything by either of them, but love their designs
6. Around my shoulders
7. Very planned when my hair is short – like every 4-5 weeks. Long hair unplanned. Right now: growing out my hair and haven’t been in quite some time. Looking rather ratty!!
8. Neither
9. Sheep and Wool (Yay – MD Sheep and Wool is less than 2 months away!!)
10. No resolutions…gave up that habit years ago

I'm a day late to the party!
*Is sleep your friend or your foe? We kind of have a dysfunctional relationship. In theory we are friends, but I have a tendency to fight with it quite a bit.
*Mindless knits or lace charts? Mindless. I like bits of lace within a pattern, but it can often send me bonkers.
*Should we hike or should we bike? I think hike. I don't bike very often since I don't have one. And bike and car traffic intimidated me a little as I've gotten older.
*Do you knit at a certain time of the day or impromptu? I would knit ALL THE TIME IF I COULD. Alas, my most intense/productive knitting sessions are at night before bed. Hence the relationship with My disgruntlee boyfriend "Sleep".
*Stephen West or Ann Budd designs? Hmm. I have not knit either, but both have lovely things from a quick looksee.
*Shawls around your shoulders or backwards snuggling your neck? Backwards!
*Haircuts planned and frequent or whenever the hair is driving you crazy? The haircut is whenever ... the color on the hand ... sheesh.
*Faux fur fashion or chalked hair fad? Meh, both are nice if done/worn right. Not my personal style though.
*Stitches convention or Sheep and Wool festivals? I've been to stitches MarketPlace only and I have never been to Sheep and Wool. 4H at the County Fairs count? ;)
*Keeping your New Years resolutions or fa ghetta bout it? Only the Trying to Keep it Balanced bit ...

The Memes are a blast.

1. As you know sleep is my foe. We frequently are at odds. I'm very excited to have a consistent schedule for the first time in years (and one that appeals to my night owl nature)
2.usually I LOVE charts but in the mood for more mindless
3.Hike. it's not warm enough in Chicago to bike yet.
4. Night or during binge watching - going to do How to Get Away with Murder Friday
5.Just cast on my first Stephen West
shawl
6. Shawls around the neck
7. Haircuts- usually impromptu when it's making me crazy / before I can change my mind
8. Faux fur. Although I've seen cute chalked hair
9. Never been to Sheep and wool but I think it would be more fun!
10. Already forgot my resolution....
