Happy Easter Happy Spring

Happy Easter Weekend.
Whether you celebrate or not, I hope you enjoy the weekend.

Zach and I went to the Gethsemene Garden shop in Chicago yesterday.  Seemed a good place to go on Good Friday.
The pansies are a welcome welcome sight.

For those of you who asked, the Crazy Skeins in yesterday's post are from Shepard's Wool company.

I'm working very slowly and carefully on a lace sock.
Can't wait to show you when one is finished.
I take a 16 row repeat at a time and that involves about an hour or more of concentration.
I need a little sign to wear around my neck that says
"I'm knitting lace, I can't talk"
Because I really can't talk to anyone but myself when I'm working
lace.
But hey, I'm finally branching out in sockland.
There's a whole new world there for lace sock folk and I've always wanted to go there!

Happy Easter kathyb!
Lace is so hard! I have not succeeded on lace socks. My shawl was a biggie. It has many noticeable mistakes. Ah well. He is almost risen :)
Happy Easter to you too! Any kind of lace knitting has to be done late at night when everone else is fast asleep here. LOL! I can't talk during it either.

Lace knitting is good for the brain. Every time I suspect that I am heading down Daddio's lane, I pick up some lace and know for sure everything is well.
Happy Easter!

I almost need an easy project for knitting group because I seriously can't do lace while having fun! Or cables, or texture. LOL!

That's great you're forging into lace sock knitting. For me it always takes some getting used to before I get into the zone. Yeah, I can't talk to anyone nor listen to anything and I must count my stitches. My LYS may have that brand but Ravelry doesn't have it listed.

Love those pansies! Spring is here...I think. Took an hour walk with my son yesterday along a canal and we say maybe 20 or more turtles out basking in what little sun there was and a whole lot of geese. I've just started a lace sock pattern. Good thing my husband is still out of town on his "guy get-away" (good for him and good for me). I can't talk while doing lace either. Heck, I can barely talk when I knit anyway. Such a newbie. Happy Easter Kathy!

That is exactly why I rarely knit lace! Happy Easter to you and your family Cathy. Love those flowers.

What an interesting name for a garden shop. :-). I only knit lace when I'm all alone. I can't concentrate otherwise. Happy Easter to you my friend.

Welcome to lace sockland! It's a wonderful place to visit.
The photos are beautiful...I love the things that catch your eye!
Oh look at all those pansies. I think I need to get some, just to tide me over until the bulbs bloom

Brave knitter! I doubt that I can follow a lace pattern even if I am left alone to totally concentrate! I am not familiar with the yarn you showed us in the last post. It is pretty, but I would not be a fan of the scratchy part of it either. Happy Easter to you and yours xx

I have those "Don't Talk to Me" patterns, too. Can't wait to see the sock. This was a singing weekend for us, and now we're just vegging out. Hope you had a wonderful Easter celebration!

It was a good Easter, the most non traditional one we've had yet, but good and it involved spending time with friends and family on a Sunday and being grateful for that. I don't need a holiday for that, but it's in that spirit.

I think knitters need various signs to wear, mine would say, " Can't talk, I'm counting." But I love,"I'm knitting lace, I can't talk" heheheh
