2016 Sock Finish Number 4

Keeping a blog has many advantages.
I needed to find a photo of Beatles from last year and I knew I'd posted one around St. Patrick's Day.

While I was back blogging, (?) I found that I had knit 4 pair of socks at this same point last year.
I distinctly remember being tired of them after that, for just a bit.

I just finished my fourth pair of socks for 2016.
See?
The yarn is ThreeIrishGirls sock yarn in a colorway I can't recall.
The yarn was gifted me and I have only the best things to say about it.

So many of you answered my Monday meme and suggested sock yarns I had never tried.  I cant wait to make a list and get my hands on some of your favorites.

Some of the yarns I will try thanks to you:
Sprout
Zen garden Serenity
Sock dream by Periwinkle Shepard
and Knitpicks Hawthorn.

I haven't tired of socks at all yet this year.
I've just cast on my next pair.

Oh and to explain further about the round after you pick up gusset stitches.
Credit to the amazing Yarn Harlot, she taught me this in her book.
On the first round after you pick up your gusset stitches and rearrange all the stitches correctly,
when You get to just those gusset stitches,
knit them through the BACK loop.
Doing this keeps the HOLEY business in check.
Just do that once on that first round on just those stitches and you'll love the look.

Happy Knitting!

I like your socks and the happy colors in the yarn. I'm starting to wear down just a bit on my sock knitting this year. It may be time to find something new to cast on.

Fantastic socks!! Sorry I didn't join in on Monday, it was too socky for me. Although since then you might have seen today on my post that I have acquired some new yarn that is sock yarn and I am loving it. Just not making socks with it!! xx

Cheerful, colorful and just plain fun are words that popped into my mind when I saw your socks. Great job.

beautiful socks!! but now the weather is getting a tad warmer, at least here so I've been wearing cotton socks...but that won't stop me from knitting with wool!

Nice work! Your sock needles must be smoking! I'm going to try "your" hole solution. Thanks!
