sport knitting

Looks like we are going to be without photos until Tuesday.  Stay with me.... I will try to keep this fun.

I bought more sock yarn today.  Frolicking feets' Robins eggs color.  I have no business buying more sock yarn.  Hee Hee so what. ?  I saved on shipping by purchasing at my lys.  must support the lys

Do all of your social activities pile into the same week? despite my best efforts to space events out the universe demands
That I lump my get togethers, together .  I have stuck to the lunch rule.   I just eat less at lunch and I love staying in at night.

I finished the softest hat last night.  The yarn was alpaca from the sheep festival last fall.  I had to double the yarn throughout.  Itis gonna be way warm. It is just the teensiest too loose.  A very careful hand felting ought to do the trick.  Eucalan here I come!

Here in Chicago we haven't won the Super Bowl since both my children were born .  I worked for the 85 game.   We rolled TV s into the multi patient room.

Can I just say for the record now that my expectations for the Cubs this year are higher than ever.  I'm going to set myself up.    I'm going to bleed cubbie blue.

Are you hoping for a big year in some sports way. Oh and I will watch all of the summer Olympics!
How about you!?

Congrats on the hat! Can't wait to see a picture...after Tuesday! Our Seahawks didn't make it to the Super Bowl this year and we'll have to see about the Mariners in baseball. I'm not a HUGE sports fan but I like to keep tack of how "my" teams are doing. Of course with college football it's the Nebraska Cornhuskers all the way since that's where Both Hubby and I were born and raised.

I finished a hat the other day, out of Noro. It was far too big (even for me; and I have a very large head.) I unraveled it and am making a scarf instead.

Sports wish: Dale Earnhardt, Jr. becomes Sprint Cup Champion.

I'm of the mind that LYS yarn buys are actually a public service. We are shopping local to keep the economy going. Not sure that Steve would buy that argument, but I'm stickin' with it.

I have high hopes for the Flyers, the Eagles, the Phillies .......gave up on the '76ers years ago.

Have a great weekend.

Your Cubs will be fantastic and my Ray's have crumbled.... Superbowl's are no interest to me unless the Packer's are in. I plan on going to bed early so I am ready for my work week.
Hugs,
Meredith

It's an even year for us, Giants fans. So I hope our G-Men do well. I don't know if I can watch the summer Olympics as we don't have cable nor regular TV here. To listen to my baseball games I've gone old school in memory of my Great Auntie Gamma who always carried her pocket radio in her housecoat. An alpaca hat is a treasure. Will you felt it all the way or partially if that's possible?

I'm a Broncos fan, so I will be watching Super Bowl, for sure!! I'm a bit nervous about the game; I just hope it's a good one.
I'm not a fan of football but do enjoy the olympics.

I do not watch or follow sports - never have, but I can tolerate games IF I have my knitting.

No LYS in my area, but I do support the local quilt shop whenever I can.
