Shout Outs, Did all My Friends Have Fun at Play?

This imperfectly crocheted wash cloth is all I got.
I am able to say with certainty that Fixation and me just have to be together with a hook.  I cannot knit with Fixation, it hurts.
But the hook and I do fine with fixation.

For you Major Jen, the bulldog knit pattern from Ravelry.

For Kim in Atlanta,
my snowdrops are coming up in the yard.
My yard thinks it is spring.
It is not anywhere near spring in Chicago.

For Katherine in Texas,
I just adore Fixer Upper the show.
Jo is so sweet.  Their clients are so sweet.
Is that how Texas Is?

For Deb and Daddio,
are his project days over?
It was fun to see what he liked to do.
What was his favorite project?

For Amy,
your crocheted flowers are genius.

For Beth,
I love your lemonade socks.
I started and stopped with a skein of Judy's sock yarn yesterday.
I started at 64 stitches and after a few inches of very entertaining color changes, I decided they would fit a very large man's foot.

So I frogged and went to 48 stitches.

For Meredith,
Happy Anniversary of becoming Lil Buddy's momma.
Will you  let his hair in the back grow. ....I love a little boy with long hair....

Nancy,
Did you celebrate Valentines day in Japan?

Do any of you remember Bozo's Circus? or is it a Chicago thing?
Fireman and I found a tape of me on the show in 1970.
I thought it was lost.  Fireman taped the Tour de France over it long ago.  Yet when we played it last week, there was a snippet of me, my mom and my sisters preserved!  My mom had an adorable bee hive hairdo.  She was stylin let me tell you.

So cute! That bulldog is adorable. ;)

All that snow that hit the midwest yesterday is out here today... in the form of very heavy rain. I prefer the snow.

Fixer Upper is one of my favorite shows! I could watch it non-stop - and do - whenever I get the chance! Meaning, when my husband is out or gone on a trip!

How I wish they would come and fix my house up!

A fun post - Valentine's Day was observed on base, but I don't recall seeing any mention of it off base.

Thanks for asking about the old guy. His project days are very over. He struggles to even hold a marker when I try to get him to color in one of the books I bring him when I visit. It was such a quick descent. Scary. In his day, he loved quilting and he loved Christmas material. I have quite a stash of it now thanks to his many trips to Joannes. I used his last Christmas quilt top as a tree skirt this year. I may get around to finishing it this year if I can get my sewing room cleaned out.

I remember Bozo, though it wasn't called "Circus" in Nashville. Maybe just "The Bozo the Clown Show"?
Thank you! Glad you like them!! xx

Fun post. I remember Bozo too...but in the Philadelphia it wasn't called Circus...just Bozo the Clown.

Fun things today. The knitted dog is so cute. I remember Bozo the Clown from when I grew up in Omaha. What a wonderful happening that you found the piece of footage preserved. That would've been sad to lose that. We have snow on the way again tonight!
Blessings,
Betsy

Such a sweet post Kathy, just like you. You've such a good heart and a way of reminding us of all the good in other people out there.

Hmmm, I think I have some Fixation yarn somewhere. Will have to follow your lead and try crocheting with it as I didn't like knitting with it either. Glad you're finding a use for the sock yarn! Can't wait to see 'em.

I'm happy to say that the Gaines are a true example of the average Texan--friendly, hard working and slightly loony in a truly funny way. I never wanted to live in Texas. I was a Chicago girl and was really unhappy when Bill accepted a position in Fort Worth. It took me a few years to get used to the very different Texas sense of humor but I can honestly say that I am now one of them!

Thank you for the shout out, no his hair will not be long in back because I don't want him mad at me in the future for letting him have a mullet. Bozo's Circus was on in the Detroit area too!
Hugs,
Meredith
