Another Sock Finish

Our landscape is snowy.  We are expecting a bigger snowfall on Sunday.  I've  told you before, I don't mind snow until March.  I think it is very pretty.  This chubby one is enjoying the black oil sunflower seeds put out for the birds.
One of Señor Boyer's fans gave him a Valentine yesterday.  I dig you...I love Valentine Puns.
I finished my Frolicking Feet socks last night.  They are exactly the same, but in this photo It looks like the toes are very different!  I should take more time staging my photos for you.  They came out great. I'm going to offer them to my Sister in Minnesota.  Love the yarn, it has good give .

Thanks Ellen for the go ahead on the Trap. I started one  last night and it feels so good.  I have leftover Misti Alpaca cotton.  My favorite scarf is a cotton trap.  I've altered the pattern a bit by adding a seed stitch border so It won't roll.
So far so good.

I read an article this morning on eating out. Oh My!  Some of the menu items have 100 grams of fat!  Crazy stuff.  Mostly deep fried fish and chicken entrees.  I knew that stuff was for once in a while only, but I never knew a single serving of a meal could top 100grams of fat.  Things like double and Triple burgers from fast foot places made the list too.

Did you know?  What are you knitting?

Oh boy, the night we had Mickey D's when the husband was out with co-workers was like a whole day of calories. That is one fat squirrel; he must be finding plenty to eat in your neighborhood. The sock colorway is fun, like Scooby Dooby Doo mystery. Getting candy is always a plus.

Congrats on finishing the socks. They look great! Wonderful colorway for socks. I bet you'll like the seed stitch border on your Trap scarf.

I can't eat fried food, it makes me sick so I guess I am lucky that way, no temptation here. I am finishing a scarf, weaving a new table runner and hope to start a new Hitchhiker, I think you should make one to, A new obsession......
Hugs,
Meredith

Feel free to send some snow my way, we didn't have any this winter :( Love the socks!

You can keep the snow. We're actually having temps in the 40's and 50's here with the snow in the mountains all around us. Unusual for February but I'll take it. I know fried foods are bad, but they taste good every so often. I baked a chicken last night for dinner. We had chicken sandwiches for lunch today and will have homemade chicken pot pie for dinner. Probably enough left for more sandwiches tomorrow. Not bad for a $5.00 chicken! I'm still making mittens but I also started a shawl this morning for a change of pace.
Blessings,
Betsy

Since I don't eat meat it's hard for me to eat in most places and when I do it's usually a salad or veggie side dish. I can't even imagine eating most of the things I see The Mister having for dinner. I do confess to being a desert junkie though. I'll eat a salad and then a piece of cheesecake.
What am I not knitting? Everything but a hat I think. I don't beleive I'll ever get through all these UFOs.

Valentine puns are always a hoot!

I've got another pair of socks on the needles and starting a Brickless scarf tonight. I'm taking a class o meet some new knitters.

That squirrel is SO chubby, I love it. If Hello Kitty had a chubby squirrel friend, it would be your neighbor, there. The Kid and I love all things punny. If my Mom Joke has a pun, it finds forgiveness with him. Nice job on the socks. and you never need my okay with the Trap but I have to say I think with the cotton some edging my work. I have to admit, I think the gummy tuck as Steph from Woolythyme says somehow helped me avoid fatty foods more, especially fried and crispy things and meat.

Gorgeous socks. You should get some of those sock forms for taking photos of your socks! I'm working on a little girl hat with a pink flower on the side.. then I need to finish my white alpaca shawl.. then make a matching hat. :-) ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
