The Link to the Russian toe Graft technique

Nancy asked for the link to the instructional on crocheting the toe of a sock seam.  It is called Russian grafting and it works for me:

I found a home for my old crocheted teddy squares.  I brought them to our senior center and they were amused.  They will incorporate them into a Linus Project blanket.  Perfect.

Finally, I tried a new recipe.  A remade low fat brownie mix with a can of diet coke.  Bake it.  It's a far cry from a true brownie.  But, it is a taste of chocolate in my life!

Happy Friday.  Celebrate the day......

Chocolate is the key! I've heard of that recipe but never tried it myself.
What a funny bunny!

Thanks for the link. It's an interesting graft and I'll try it sometime. I'm disappointed that she didn't show the inside of the graft. On your socks, does it leave a ridge on the inside that would rub against the toes and cause an irritation?
Wow, those sound like quite some brownies! xx

I confess, I have never heard of Russian grafting, but I watched the video and it is amazing! I'll have to try it!

That is one cute bunny!!

To get away from chocolate I had to go cold turkey, so not even a "tastes-like" for me. I used the same cold turkey method to stop drinking Diet Coke and it's working--as long as I don't think, smell, taste or dream about it. Our grandson's girlfriend is a dietitian and she has been really hard on me in the "don't touch that--don't even smell it" category.

I've not heard of that graft technique either. But then, the Kitchner stitch does not bother me at all. I suppose I just get into the rhythum, and pretty soon it's finished.

How interesting! Apparently I had pinned the video some time ago and didn't know it. I haven't tried it yet tho.

Will have to check out that video! Once I saw a pillow that said, "Chocolate is a Vegetable!" Sure wish I'd have bought it!

OK.. what's the story on the funny bunny? I'm glad you found a way to have chocolate! I can't imagine a life w/o it.
((hugs)), Teresa :-)

Where did you get the photo of that cutie? Chocolate is the best. I can only have grain sweetened chocolate chips, and I am eating them right this second.
Hugs,
Meredith
