Saturday Impatience not the flower....

I am ridiculously focused on finishing this sweater.
I have about 20 rows of the other sleeve left.
I want to be done.
Now.
I'm not.

I have a serious case of startitis.  I found some lively, pinkish,
mixed color sock yarns and I'm itching to cast on.  Now. This minute.

Did I mention I already have one sock on the needles in some GOGO GRassy from Socks that Rock?
I know.
I can't help myself.

As soon as I finish posting I'm winding the new yarn.
Then I'll make myself work on the sweater for another hour.

Then I'm casting on the new socks.

I put a lot of pressure on myself to be productive.
I . Have. To Finish...stuff
*******
We had an awful lot of cheese in the cheese compartment.
I made a quiche for Fireman.
I fudged on my usual recipe because I had no half and half.
So I used sour cream and buttermilk.
It worked.
Fireman says its rich and really good.
So:
A crescent roll crust premade
Layer with cheese,
I used swiss, cheddar and monterey jack spicy.
Beat two eggs, add s and p.
Mix 1/2 c sour cream and 1/2 buttermilk to the eggs and pour over
cheese.
Bake 35 -40 minutes at 325.
reheats beautifully slice by slice in the microwave!

The quiche has my mouth watering from here. And, Startitis is nothing to be ashamed of. It's like having a really messy desk: a sign of genius!
And what is wrong with startitis!! xx

Socks are like M&Ms --- you never can have just ONE!

I quit the blanket I was working on. NOT enjoying it. So ......knitting is supposed to be fun. The yarn will be repurposed into charity hats.

There are socks on the needles and that is IT for now. I'm a one-at-a-time kind of girl.

Mmmmm......that looks so yummy.
If it makes you feel any better I spent the ENTIRE day seaming up son's cardi only to find a dropped stitch waaaaaay down on one sleeve. Rip, rip, rip. I am going to be up all night finishing that *$&#*@ sleeve. I want it DONE and I want it DONE NOW. Grrrrr........

I can't wait to see your sweater finished. I know you can do it. I also have a pair of socks ready to go. The yarn is wound and needles laying along side. I'm making myself make 12 pair of mittens first though.

That quiche! Oh my goodness. It looks wonderful. Thank you for the recipe.
Blessings,
Betsy

yum! I know what you mean about the sweater bogging you down. Smaller projects give us a quick return for our time....it's sometimes just what we need! BTW, the sweater is looking good!

That cheese dish sounds heavenly! I've been suffering from a bit of startitis myself.

I don't think I've ever made a quiche, but I do like to order it in restaurants. Ever add any veggies to it?

I totally get the urge to cast on all the things. Good job you for holding back as much as you have. Looking forward to seeing your beautiful sweater finished. I am sure you are looking forward to it more. :)

I'm comin' over for quiche! My Aunty J used to hook me up w/it so many times. I miss her. This was a funny read this morning while wolfing down my bacon, sausages, and blueberry pancakes. Mahalo.

Your sweater's lookin' good, Kathy! Where did you find the pattern? Looks like just the perfect thing for your cold weather. As for startitis, I'll bet you caught it from me! I am much better at starting all projects than finishing them, that's for sure. I have all sorts of UFOs of various types, and some are pretty old ones. Hope you're having a great weekend. Your quiche looks yummy; I have all the stuff for the cranberry rugalach except the recipe. Keep meaning to look for it on WW!

You're preaching to the choir, since I am the queen of starting new projects before the one I'm working on is finished! I've given up on being a one project knitter. I have a sweater, only needing sleeves, that has been in my knitting basket for six months while I knit other things.

Your sweater is beautiful. I'm looking forward to seeing a picture of you wearing it soon.
