Let's Be Careful Out There

First, Al's in the part of Virginia near the coast that is not expected to be hit hard with the snow storm.
Let's be careful out there.
These were the times when getting to work was such an effort .
Our jobs did not allow for snow days.
If you have the luxury of being told to stay home...go for it!

Here's my sock yarn stash minus one skein from Al that's on the needles and two other pair in progress.

Do you love to stay in at night or go out?
I love to stay in.
Perhaps because I worked so many 3-11 pm shifts and overnight shifts, I'm still in awe of tucking under a blanket every night and knitting with my family in the room.
It is a joy .
How about you?
Stay in or go out?

Glad Al will be safe. My husband's family is in Norfolk...I think the group out in the country (Suffolk) was supposed to get some...even a little bit is difficult for them to handle - lol. I'm definitely a stay in person at night...especially the older I get. Plus I hate night-time driving. We (eastern PA - Phila area) are expecting from 12-24" over the weekend. I'm looking forward to hunkering down and knitting/napping/reading/cooking. Have a wonderful weekend!

So glad that Al is mostly out of harms way. My sister and law's family and niece and new baby are all near Baltimore, but my guess is that they are all staying put!

I love to stay home but have to push myself to go out. We're having a busy month: we had symphony last night and going to see the Bejing Acrobats on Sunday and "Book of Mormon" in a few weeks.

We are smack dab in the spot where the blizzard will be, but being a snow veteran, I'm not worried. We are as prepared as we can be, anything else is out of our hands. :-)

I'm a homebody for the most part, so staying home in the evenings is fine with me. Even when I was younger, I didn't see the appeal of going out all night every night just because I could ...

Have a good weekend!

Any more it is a struggle for me to get out at night, especially when the thermometer is hovering below zero.

I love staying at home for snowfalls, the inches will vary since the forecasters won't commit.

Stay in. Today, I had to take Madeleine to UGA for another glucose curve, otherwise I'd still be in my pajamas!

I'm glad Al's going to miss the worst of the storm. We have lots of rain here, and it's cold, but the two don't seem interested in working together for snow.

I prefer to stay in all the time. I had a long commute and a tough job so not going anywhere is what I always want to do. A day where I don't get in the car is a good day.
I'd be ashamed to show you my sock yarn stash. It's sinful. I need to get knitting and donating or stop buying.

I am an OUT girl all the way. Steve and I head to the Starbucks MOST evenings. We are trying to change that though. It gets a little pricey! We just bought a k-cup coffee maker and we are going to have our evening coffee at home.

We'll see how that works. LOL

It is snowing here in Northern Virginia - and sticking - bleck! I was so hoping it would pass by us big time!!

I pretty much am a homebody... But I do get out and about during the daytime hours. I prefer to stay home at night. We just usually go out on Saturday evenings for dinner. In the winter, when it gets dark so early - even that doesn't appeal to me. My husband would prefer we go out more - he is extroverted - I'm introverted...

Snow is falling at my daughter's house in the Washington D.C. area. They are hunkering down for the duration. I'm a stay at home girl all the way. Plus, I don't like to drive at night anymore. Must be getting old. :-)
Blessings,
Betsy
All is quiet here in the great white north, but hoping all our Southern friends stay safe and have lots of knitting to keep them occupied!

It is supposed to be so ugly this weekend in the East. I am a stay at home gal almost any time of day or night. I LOVE to be home.

A great evening is a stay at home one!
Nice to stock up on yarn in case the weather turns....
I'm definately a home body and a sock knitter! Those two activities just go together.
Hope that you have stayed safe and warm if the snow has come your way. xx

The only time we're out at night is if we're up in San Francisco or Daly City for dinner w/the ohana. I don't mind being home. I get lazy when having to doll up to go out.
