Color Block Sweater Finish

Finished the Color Block sweater and finished blocking it yesterday.

Pros: I knit a sweater in 2016.  I don't suspect I'll knit another.

Lionbrand Thick and Quick was just that.

I found a sweater pattern that was easy to follow.

Cons:

I get too goofy when I knit sweaters.  Something comes over me and I'm more about finishing than knitting.

I didn't enjoy the thick yarn and big needles, but hey, that's what QUICK is in knitting.  Whodda thunk it?

Its heavy.  It may be going to my sister in Minnesota.

Back to socks.  My love of knitting is all about socks.
I have two pair on the needles.  I'm completely relaxed knitting socks.  One pair is GoGO Grassy yarn in ....wait for it....green

and the other is Happy Feet in a red handpaint with browns etc mixed in.

Oh socks I love thee.......

It's always good to try something new.

I cast on a pair of socks yesterday. It's been too long since I've knit socks and my hands were eager to work with smaller needles and yarn.

Your sweater turns out great! It's always fun to try something different. I haven't made socks for awhile but just cast on a pair. Enjoy!
Blessings,
Betsy

The sweater is beautiful--well done!! I just finished a pair of socks that were no fun. Beautiful yarn in black with splashes of purple and teal, so I thought it would be an easy knit. The black nearly killed my eyes and I'm just hoping there are not lots of loose stitches that I missed because I couldn't see them. Looking forward to seeing your green and red socks.

This is a neat take on color-blocking.

I just bought some Thick and Quick too and hated working with it. It's going in time out I'm afraid.
Your sweater is adorable but they are such a chore aren't they. I can't believe I just ordered yarn for three more when I still have three on the needles and one being seamed. It must be a sickness. When it gets cold I MUST knit sweaters. Sweaters that never get finished that is.......

Good job on finishing the sweater.. won't you model it for us? Nice of you to give it to your sister, though. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

Look at you with your finished sweater! Well done. I like that Thick and Quick, but for blankets, it's very warm. It is sweater weather though isn't it, gah! distractions!!

But you've finished it! I don't love making sweaters either unload it's for babies! Enjoy the socks!

I am happy you finished your sweater, and what a very lucky sister to be getting an awesome knit. I hope you will start another one after you recover from knitting this one :)

Congrats on the finish! It looks like it would be a very warm sweater.

You did a great job. I love sweaters but they are tough to finish, just ask the sweater I started way back in the Fall that is sitting in the basket very, very much unfinished.
Hugs,
Meredith

You did it! Fun finish! I think finishing sweaters is tough; somehow I get really bogged down on the sleeves. And then there's all those ends..... Nice socks you're doing, too!
