The Menu

Every single stitch I knit yesterday, I pulled out.
I love the Misti alpaca cotton yarn, but it just has not declared itself yet.
I'm thinking cowl.
My friend Mary brought me this Poinsettia on Friday.
I have not had one in years.....decades.
The cats...
But I put it on a ledge and I'm hoping.
So far it has not attracted anyone's attention but mine.

What else should I share with you today?
Happy Hanukkah if you celebrate!

My friend Karen was asking me what I made for dinner the other day.
Seems we are always all looking for that dinner idea.

I shopped today.
Here's the plan:

Crock pock pork carnitas

Crock pot bbq pulled chicken

Roasted vegetables and brown rice

Low fat Mexican cheese between two flour tortillas

and Rum balls.

(hee he not really.  but Fireman is making rum balls today)

Whats on your menu?

we are eating at a party so cooking today (yay!). Yesterday was curry made by my husband. Since I only cooked once last week, I guess I should do some cooking this week....but haven't made up a menu yet.

I think we're doing a ceasar salad with chicken (caesar salad? I don't know how you spell that word!) in anticipation of the overeating that is to come.

We put any flowering plant out in the garage at night and bring it in in the morning--we can keep a good eye on them during the day but not at night!

Also, my vet says that in reality they are only mildly problematic and may lead to some vomiting or diarrhea but it will resolve quickly--they are not the poison machines they are made out to be!

Oh bummer; sorry that yarn isn't quite speaking clearly to you yet. A neighbor in our cul-de-sac buys poinsettas for some of us and leaves them anonymously. We found it during turkey weekend and I finally found out who it was from. Sweet, huh? Hopefully I'll be able to take great care of it. Your menu sounds yummy! Today's breakfast for me was cereal and oatmeal for the rest of the crew. Lunch will be quinoa chili for me and the hub while the dames have something. Then dinner will be fried rice with yesterday's bacon and breakfast sausages.

That yarn is really pretty! I like the lacy stitch you were doing with it!!
Today's dinner is a baked chicken dish - you mix up some mayo and parmesan cheese and something else and put it on it - then top it with swiss cheese or mozzarella cheese and bake it! Along with some baked potatoes and sour cream - yum!

What a pretty lacy pattern you're doing! My DIL is our dinner chef and she doesn't have an answer on our dinner plans yet. Sunday Surprise? Have a great day.. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

I used to make rum balls every year around Thanksgiving and let them age until Christmas. They were yummy!.

Lots of veggies and protein, I have been to the doctor and my sugar is rising, I need to be careful with all that pasta and rice.

Can I come for dinner? I have to figure out what recipes to have my house husband make this week!

Tonight's dinner was a simple one.

Steve made tomato/cucumber caprese and I made fried eggs with green pepper, onion and mushrooms. We had a slice of toast and THAT was a simple supper after having a HUGE lunch late.

The color on your Misti Alpaca yarn is very pretty.

Dinner? What's that? I haven't cooked since Thanksgiving. I'm still all cooked out. Maybe next week.

Where'd you get your Misti Alpaca cotton, or is it also partly silk? As for dinner, it's Teriyaki Tuesday here which we pick up on the way home from volunteering at the hospital. Yum!
