Family All the Way Around

My littlest sister learned to crochet this year.
She made me a fun scarf.
I really appreciate the effort that I know went into this pretty gift.
It was an unexpected Package mailed from sunny Arizona!
Have I mentioned we have been under cloud cover for days?
Yes I am sitting in front of my SAD light as we speak.
I've been religious about it.
I think it may be helping -
oh and Happy Solstice!
There were 5 girls in our family. I am the middle girl.
My brother is the oldest and only boy.
My next youngest sister is the Veterinarian.
She sent this great mouse toy to the cats.
It clicks and moves and they love it.
Best of all it is too big to get lost easily.
You can set it to go off while you are not home too!
My Vet sister also found this knitterly shirt for me.
It is so dang cute!

On the knit front:
I'm abandoning my two hats for now.
Just not into them.
I need a project to sink my teeth into!
This usually means socks....
we'll see!
Who Knows?

The carols are going to be on all day here.
T minus a few days and counting.
Zach will return from Sunny warm Islas Mujeres.
Al will fly in on Christmas morning.
The anticipation of them both being here on Christmas has me giddy with excitement.

I will be spending time with my dear mom in the nursing home this Christmas.  I think I'll wear a Santa hat.

How are you doing with a few days to go?

Off to put on carols right now! Thanks for the reminder!
Yes very cloudy and rainy here too--but we may have a white Christmas in Oregon! Now THAT makes me giddy!

My Zak is flying in tomorrow night so I am making vegan cookies for him at the moment. I'll be at Daddio's care plan meeting tomorrow. Fun.
I LOVE that shirt. That's my kind of fashion!

I'm anticipating being with family, too, for our Christmas celebration. We might even get snow on Christmas day.

Sounds like fun at your house and love your gifts! We have to run out for a few last minute things and to buy a steak tenderloin for Christmas dinner. As usual.. I am never done early. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

Your gifts are all beautiful. I have carols playing at my house too. That helps boost the Christmas spirit. We have snow flying and flying and flying here. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
Blessings, Betsy

LOVE your new tee. It's so cute. I totally understand your sentiment about your sister's hand crocheted gift. It is sweet and absolutely lovely. Cool toy for the cats.

Rolorat? I bet the cats love it.

Kudos to your sister for completing the pretty scarf. Isn't it fun to get surprises in the mail?

Merry Christmas to all gathering around your tree.

It is SO exciting when you can have both your kids together, isn't it? My son had his last exam today so I'm looking forward to some real family time, too.

Love, love, love that T-shirt. Your sister had great taste.

I am so happy for you to have the kids home! The anticipation of it, really is just the essence of Christmas in so many ways. I was just talking about the SADs. I tried to get out for a walk today while there was a little sunshine.

Anyhow, I'm obsessing on the rolorat and that fabulous t-shirt! Great great gifts!
