THE Seasonal Affective Light Purchase

2. Because I want to love all of winter this year

3.Because Christmas radio is back on Pandora

4. Because I want to visit my Minnesota sister and her dogs this winter

5.Because it always feels good to do something postive for yourself

6. Because I sit by the computer for the allotted 20 minutes every morning anyhow thanks to BLOGGER!

7. Because it is a hundred dollars well spent

8. Because I've been told on good authority they can be helpful

9. Because anyone in the family can use it and likely benefit from it

10. Because it is a heck of a great light for seeing tiny stitches on the needles.

I'm all about the lights once it gets dark early. I've been hauling myself outside for a small dose of sun too. It helps.

I went to a medical supply store. I was told you do not have to purchase a threehundred dollar light....
it has to be full specturm however and approved for SDA. :)

I'm glad you got that light if it will help you with SAD. I hope this winter is a good one and not a bummer of one. :-) ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

Great idea. I was severely affected while up north=and it took a while to make up for the deficit once I moved south! Go for it!
I really hope that it works for you! xx

Sounds like a good idea to me.

Enjoy your new special light.

I could have used one of those when I was teaching. My morning drive was in the dark, no natural light came through the one tiny window in my north-facing classroom, evening drive was in the dark. Oh yeah, I could have really used one of those!

Those all sound like good reasons -- not that you need to justify anything. You deserve it!

Thanks, Kathy. I've been struggling with vitamin D deficiency and the "winter blues" for years. I've read about these lights but had no idea where to find them.

I hope you enjoy it and it helps you.

I am the only person I know who gets SAD in the summer. For real.

I keep my light next to my chair where I stitch. I can pretend I' m stitching in the sunshine even at night.
