Whirlwind Weekend.....Knitting TOO

Fireman was so good to drive to Joliet so we could rescue a cat that was high on the euthanasia list.  We had never done transport for the shelter.
Wow.
We pulled in and their were all kinds of good people waiting for the dogs and cats to arrive for shelters.

This gorgeous yellow tree was showing off while we waited.
You are all such animal lovers.  Hard to believe this little dog was on the chopping block a few hours ago.
The cat we transported was sweet and young and beautiful.
I'm going to pay special attention to him AND Pippa at the shelter.
I bet he gets adopted very quickly.
So there was ample car knitting time.
I worked on the baby blanket because I want to concentrate and keep going well on the slipper pattern.

We rested a bit and then drove the opposite direction to Milwaukee.
Fireman wanted to see Little Big Town.
I was really impressed with their energy and their
harmony.  I loved the concert.

Oh and we had time to watch the Cubs WIN a game yesterday.

Did you have a fun weekend? I'd love to hear about it

I'm so proud of you two for saving those darlings. Wish I could have seen the kitty. We're still enjoying a sunny Sunday here. After a gullywasher yesterday. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

You are indeed an angel! I did nothing as important as what you did but I did rig out the outdoor cat huts for winter. It's been in the 40's at night so they needed new pillows and blankets and a new heater as one was not working. They should be toasty tonight if they have the good sense to go in them.

That's wonderful that you rescued those kitties. We were at an adoption event today and I couldn't believe the number of cats they had......and that's just a tiny part of a huge problem. I wish I could have taken them ALL home.

That clock tower is BEAUTIFUL!

We were home all weekend, but we had an eventful Thursday --- we went to the opening night at the Tampa Bay Lightning. (Pictures are on Facebook.)

What an angel you are! Sounds like fun and useful weekend.
Mine was packed: art opening, party, knitting class, bike ride, movie.

The Blue Jays won last night. Maybe our teams will be playing each other.
