Vampire Round up

 I'm completely free lancing now.
I like how it is knitting up.
I hope to finish this one today.

Our neighborhood is lots of fun for Halloween.
It comes alive at night.

Fireman and I donated blood yesterday.
They asked us if we wanted to give double red cells.
What? Never heard of that.
Well I was too short.
You have to be 5 foot 5 to give.
Fireman gave double red cells.
So They put in one catheter and it feeds saline in and red cells out.
Big machine.  30 minutes.
He cannot give again until February.

You also need a really good Hemoglobin to do this.

I gave regular red cells and they always treat me like a queen because I am O negative.
That's the vampire round up here

I used to donate regularly, but stopped because I have a lot of scar tissue in my veins at the crook of my elbow from the large needles used for the donation draw. They like to see me come in, too, as I'm B negative.

Our neighborhood is very dull on Halloween--few sidewalks and lights and it is generally raining--sigh--

The arm warmers are shaping up beautifully; colorwork knitting is addictive!
Interesting about the blood-my guy gives regularly; I am exempt.

Double reds are common in drives in my area. But you need to be tall (thought it even higher for females). And I'm not. They'd love it if I could - B negative for me.

The fair isle is coming along nicely! No Halloween decor around here so I gave up as I was the only one for the past few years. I put it inside where I can see it.

Love the fair isle.. you're inspiring me to try again. Love the spooky pix. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
I wish our neighbourhood did more... but sadly, the kids just don't seem to be trick or treating like they use to, so less people are decorating here.

you two are wonderful to be donating. I am not eligible because of the drugs I take for RA. I can donate to myself or for a family emergency if I match, not for public consumption...Our neighborhood does nothing for decorating and I live in the woods so no trick or treaters. I buy candy just in case, and then eat it :)

I can't donate blood because of my radiation treatments, it always makes me feel a bit guilty. Love your neighborhood.
Hugs,
Meredith
