Finish Cocoknits Knotted Slippers

 1. CUBS win.
I know we were all very nervous until the final out.
We are so happy to move on.

2. I made a simple apple tart yesterday.
Only pie crust, apples, cinnamon, nutmeg and brown sugar.
Must have been good, because its GONE.
3. I somehow finished the knotted slippers during the Cub game.
I love them.
If you m
ake these, I would prepare you for following the instructions to the letter.
It is a well constructed pattern.
When you start the UPPERS off the sole, you need to use a bunch of double points or a circ.
I like double points.
You then do decreases at 4 points around the foot so you get a really nice fit.
I give the whole project A+.

SO Happy for your Cubs! My father is from Chicago originally but he can't seem to get past the fact the Cubs are not the Whitesox. Sorry dear. But I cheered for you guys. Right now I'm focusing on my energy to defeat the dreaded Dodgers. Those slippers look so good, I'm so happy to hear they were just as fun to make. If I ever dent my current knitting situation, I'll put some on the needles for presents, yeah?

The tart looks delectable! Maybe I'll try something like that this weekend.
Very cute slippers in a perfect fall scarlet.

I'd love to make myself a pair, but I'm hopeless with DPNs. If a pattern calls for them, I just move on along.

These are amazing! I am glad you gave some pointers; it's easy to get lost on a detailed knit like this!
The color is perfect, too.
