the north wind doth blow

I do realize that in Arizona today it is over a hundred degrees again, and it is humid and raining in  Virginia , but the weather has shifted in the Midwest.
I finished knitting my 6ply socks and I had to put them on asap. My toes are freezing under the covers. I'm not turning  on the heat. I refuse

Below is a gorgeous brioche cowl that is a class at my lys. I love how the multi yarn works against the solid brown

Are you sensing a change in your wardrobe?

I've turned on the gas stove once but like you refuse to turn the hit on--aiming for 10/15 but I think it might be this weekend....

We have had the ac on for two days now. It's so humid it's unbearable. Now they are talking about a tropical storm heading our way for the weekend. Ugh...what happened to fall?

I heard there is a frost warning in some areas! I had my knitted socks on today!

A couple of weeks ago the temperature dropped and it was downright cold. Snow fell in the mountains, and the wind blew all that cold air into the valley. I added a blanket to the bed and closed the window, but kept the heat off. I imagine in a couple of weeks, I'll be wearing socks full time but until then I'm toughing it out.
We are just starting to get the cool weather here in Ontario. It's mostly damp and rainy right now.

Oh Kathy, as usual you are spot on! Even here in SF we are having a weather change (at least for today). It's cool and gray and there has been a little rain/spit. My husband says the traffic on his side of the bay today is very confused, "What's this wet stuff falling from the sky? We haven't seen this in a long while!" It's a day for warm beverages and not flaking on my exercise to sit and knit ;)

we had some cool weather last week - especially in the evenings. Turned the air off. Rain came Sunday - the humidity is back with a vengeance - along with rain - and the a/c is back on....

It is actually going to be cooler in Texas starting tomorrow! I am so ready!

I haven't had any wardrobe changes for years. My style is stagnant. I truly need an update. Hmmm. Must think about that.

That cowl looks like a lot of work. I am into easy peasy right now. It will only be in the low 8-'s this weekend because the hurricane sucked the that and humidity out of the air! Hooray for hurricanes that come close, but not to close.
Hugs,
Meredith
