Plans?

 Plans:
This is Tom Ricketts the Cubs owner. We saw him at Ohare airport in 2012.
In Sunday's Tribune, paper, an article was written about how the Cubs, playing better than ever, are going to blow it.
I hope they are wrong. I'm planning on post season games with our Cubbies.  Just to get in to the post season would be amazing.
Fingers crossed.
I'm planning to knit a shawl that will fit on my shoulders and not fall off.  These brilliant woman knit two shawls together and got the squarer look that holds on to you when you wear it.
I'm in the planning stages....
finding a short simple shawlette pattern.
Planning to knit two of them.
Planning on using worsted weight because You know I can't stick with it unless it grows quickly.

I'm using up my sunflower sock yarn in my baby blanket.
I'd say the blanket is 3/4s finished.  I won't be able to play along with Major Jennifer's Labor day finishers, but I'm enjoying it as my go to between shorter knit projects.

Fireman and I are planning bike rides for this fall.
We are planning kayaking in Lake Michigan because the beaches are closed and we can launch for free.
We are planning on post season baseball of the fingernail biting variety...

What are your plans?

I can't think beyond the big event I'm in charge of tomorrow. I'm rather a nervous wreck. Wish me luck! ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
Love the sunflowers.

I've got some plans for MORE gardens (well, really just an expansion of the existing ones....

My plan is to maintain my sanity while teaching!
For a shawl that stays on, look at E. Zimmerman's Pelerine. It is in worsted and it does stay on.

Kathy I adore you, but I simply can't with your Cubs. I know it's an "odd year" but the Giants are applying the full pressure of torture right now. My cooking may have been seasoned by tears listening to the game on the radio yesterday ...

I can understand a desire for knit items to grow ... as none of mine seem to be!

Ellen, you are too funny. I share your baseball tears....this game...it kills us ...!!! I've been waiting my whole life for the Cubs to win a Series. That's my hashtag on twitter now #waitedmywholelife.
We Cub fans are a sorry lot. The tears are around the corner for us I'm sure. Should it come down to Cubs and Giants... we shall have a wager ok?

No, no, no sports for me since the Capitals blew the Stanley Cup ages ago. I hate that feeling when you want something so badly but you can't control even a tiny bit of it.
Fall plans? I'm not planning anything until it gets here. It's going to be in the 90's all week. I just had to go dig a fan out of storage. The ac alone ain't doing it anymore. Ugh....

I just finished a shawl (crescent shaped) that sits well on my shoulders. I don't like triangle shawls because they don't "fit" my body type. To get the wing span that I need, the triangle would have to fall below my waist, and I do not want that. I'd love to knit a Faroese Shawl but can't find an actual pattern.

I like that idea of putting two together. Yes...Go CUBS!!! No matter where I live I will always be a Cubs fan, a Blackhawks fan, a Bulls fan and a Bears fan :))
That shawl looks beautiful. Look forward to seeing your version. Gorgeous sunflowers - nearly time for us to plant sunflower seeds. I love them and my son wants a field of sunflowers, just like Van Gogh!

Look at Vixen. It's a great shape and stays on all by itself. I've knit 2 of them and love the pattern! Doesn't matter if you screw it up! Very forgiving.
