When It's Hot: I Make Cotton Dishcloths

Starfish Cloth from Sew Funky

Feather and Fan by Linda Smith

Easy Crochet Dishcloth by Sandy Marie

Dishcloths.  That's all I got for you today.  It's hot and humid and I Love to make dishcloths in the heat.  I use them faster than I can make them.  I prefer to crochet them.  The three patterns above are free on Ravelry.

They are small enough for me to stay interested in a pattern  start to finish!   Do you Dishcloth?

These look really pretty. What yarn do you use?

Absolutely! I have a lot of cotton left over from making those dog toys.

Oh yeah! Starfish is a fun one for sure. Almost Lost is similar. I like making that one too. And, of course, Grandmother's Favorite is a go-to when I don't want to think too much.

No, but I'm thinking of using some of the patterns to make an afghan.

I do "dishcloth". They are my favorite things to knit when I need something that is mindless. The starfish one (although called something different that I can't think of right now) is not exactly mindless. Perfect items to knit at our meetups we have twice a week, where there is more talking than knitting, and hard to keep count!

Nice work! I love the starfish! Thanks for the links. The crochet one is going in my hospital patterns!
I need to make more dishcloths

OH YES! I love them. They are great to work on when you need something that works up fast and travels well. Oh...and that you don't have to think about.

I go through phases. I did knit a few for my sister for last Xmas. But haven't done any since then. But I do enjoy doing it - just something to relax with. Right now, to do just that, I'm knitting a scarf - in all garter stitch! What a nice break from the other patterns I'm doing....

Oh man, I thought I had tamed my dishcloth monster and now you went and woke him up. I love them all and I'm pretty sure I'll be heading over to Ravelry to get those patterns.

I love them and that is more than I have got. The star design is brilliant.

It is HOT & HUMID out.
I have made a number of pot holders for my mother --they are the only ones she likes. She refuses to use any others--not because they are made by her daughter but because she says they are the best ones she has--WHO knows.

Yes, I do knit dishcloths but haven't for quite a while.

I just got home from HOT and humid Nebraska. It feels a lot cooler here near the mountains.
