July things

here he Here ye.....Al has changed her mind on the darling baby sweater....she decided the other was too girlish.  So she has picked another Quince and co pattern.  I'll get some pictures from her

I started my new top yesterday. Too new to show but gotta say I'm loving it it is going to be a breezy easy top that I can  knit with confidence .i took a shot of the poncho before it met its frog demise

Al has turned me onto being a n p r fan. Diane rehm is my favorite n o r  personality. I'm going to have to listen to her podcasts cause she isn't in Chicago..  Perhaps I'll start a grass roots movement to have her on in Chicago. Her shakey  deliberate cadence mesmerizes me!

There's something magical going on in my blog land. A pretend friend who is also a real friend has coordinated a fantastic vacation for Irish eyes.  More to come....

Finally today...fireworks have been coming in cribs and drabs all week. Thanks y all.

Did you see the pink amazing moon last night?  I knit to that moon. , did you?

How's your July going wink wink?

My "alarm" is a clock radio set to NPR. It is refreshing to hear the calm voices as I drift out of dreamland.

I like NPR too. And what a great photo of the flower. Wow. Have a great weekend ahead!

The Poncho is kind of your El Dorado huh? I understand. But it sounds like you are spending your knitting time on more fun projects, which is the most important. My husband is a big NPR fan as well. I think because he keeps pushing it on me I keep to my audio books and what not. But I like to listen to it in the car, I'm just not in the car very much.

I saw the moon last night on the way home from the gym. It was magical. I wanted to take a photo of it as I walked down one of our quiet side streets, but I couldn't capture it. It was one of those moments for me to not capture but to enjoy. heh.

Beautiful Hibiscus! I saw the beautiful moon but way too late to knit by it (11:00). The dogs convinced me that they had to go out one more time before bed, and there it was. I'm not afraid of a full moon as some of my friends are. Good things seem to happen to me with the full moon. I hope the same for you Kathy!

The Mister HATES Diane Rhem's voice. I love her. She always asks the questions I would ask from guests who are talking about what I want to hear. It's like she reads my mind. I have NPR on from the time I get up until late noon especially on the weekends. Ted Talks, Radio Lab, Wait Wait, Splendid Table....it's all great stuff. Better than anything on TV. I want to get an Amazon Echo just so I can hear it all better. I have a dinky old transistor type radio I carry around all day.
No moon here last night. Lots of rain and thunder. All day today too. They just cancelled our town fireworks until Sunday.

Love the shot of the hibiscus. Interesting perspective.

I listen to NPR in the car --- usually it's the noon-time show. It's always a different topic.

July is going VERY well so far. Giroux is feeling his kitten goodness and acting more like he should at his age. My blood sugar levels have been good the past two days, I ROCKED my workout with my personal trainer this morning AND our son is coming for a visit tomorrow. Pretty good for only two days in! :-)
