Depression

*Whoa there gentle readers!
Turns out my melancholy post yesterday had a lesson.

I was prescribed Voltaren for some shoulder pain.
Many of you know I live with Depression.
Turns out the Voltaren can cause agitation and depression in some folk.
I'm so relieved.  After a week of taking the NSAID
I was really out of sorts.
So, no Voltaren for me.

This Depression Friend, I've got to be on the lookout all the time, for it.   The wonderful thing is that Depression is curable.
I'm here to tell you, really.

So back to My happy Mitten knitting.

Carry on!

My dear mom suffered with depression, but she was the happiest person I've ever known. She was determined not to let it change her life--more to the point, she was determined not to let it change mine. Like mom you are my hero Kathy!! You are fighting the good fight and winning because you are loving and kind and fun to be around. Go away depression, we don't have time for you!

You do have to watch for triggers. It's a good thing you caught on so soon. Depression is such a terrible thing. I had a major bout after Son #2 was born. It was a very dark time I don't wish to repeat.

I am so happy you figured out the culprit. I have been feeling down myself lately and I know itis menopausal and orthogonal. Not fun at all.

I am so glad that you figured out what was causing your sadness and got it fixed up. Sometimes I get a feeling of melancholy, but usually snap out of it pretty quick. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

So glad your blues turned out to be so quickly fixed. I really appreciate your honestly. I struggle with depression and anxiety. The short bouts of depression aren't so bad, but the longer ones are a real challenge.

I am sorry that the medicine did not suit you. Now you know! I find you quite courageous and honest about your depression. I have family members who struggle and it's not easy for them. I hope you feel better soon !

Oh Kathy, I'm so glad things are getting sorted for you. Depression is horribly hard. I feel like you have such a leg up with your self awareness and appreciation of the good, even when you feel rotten. Speaking from a personal place, I truly believe these things help tip the scales. You must remember these things, that you have a good place to go when it all spirals and feels horribly wrong. Much love.
