A Mitten, A Kitten and Color Smitten

I tried a rolled cuff mitten, and I like the look.
This is not to say that they are practical.
What's worse than snow up your arm while you are scraping your car with the credit card edge, since someone in your family hid the scraper?
*If you give a Maine Coon water, he will get into it.
Fezzik needs a bigger wading pool, don't you think?
Maine Coons apparently love water.

*I had to show you the yarn bomb that KMKAT posted yesterday.
Now, THAT"S cute but,
I imagine this must be done ON the object while it is crocheted.
What's worse than crocheting a tire cover?
There, that's a perfect question.

I love the colors on this tire cover
dark blue
light blue
purple
white
green

I may have to copy them into a mitten.
That's how I succeed here at Irisheyes.
If I want a good looking kitchen, I copy the scheme from a magazine.
If I want a great looking knit up, I copy the colors I've seen play nicely together before.

I only have to know what I like....
it is that easy!

Fezzik totally needs a pool!

The only thing worse, I imagine, would be having to wash it, then get it back into shape!

Yeah, Fezzik does seem uncharacteristically attracted to water. My kitties would not have done that!

The crocheted tire cover is a good looking yarn bombing. Around here it would get dirty so quickly, it would not be so attractive!! Getting it on and off must be a trick, eh?

What a great idea - a kitty pool - lol. Our cat wanders over to the bird bath and takes a drink and will occasionally stick a paw in...but that's about as far as he will go. Love that mitten - great colors.

Yes!! A kiddy pool. They make little ones.

Ha! I love your post title. My friend had a Main Coon and he loved getting a bath. Like a real human bath, though I truly believe many cats think they are humans.

Your mittens have been amazing. Each one a treasure.
Pretty little mitten. And cute kitty. I've never known a cat to like water. That sure is a pretty tire cover. I'm working with a group now to yarnbomb trees at the secret garden. We may even take the idea further down the road and also do some charity work. Seems I'm going to be very busy now that I quit my job. A nice kind of busy. :) Best wishes, Tammy

Well, I've never seen anything cuter than Fezzik hopping into his mini wading pool! What a cute kitten!! I like the colors of the tire cover but I don't think I will be knitting/crocheting one anytime soon. If I knit something that big I plan to snuggle under it.

Your mittens are reaching professional level. I love the pink!

I took a page out of the Ikea catalog and bought the whole room because I am so terrible at coordinating things.
That kitty is amazing! One of mine drinks water by dipping her paw into it but that's it for water play.

I wish one of my cats, or my dog, liked to get in the water... but no! The tire cover is very pretty, but my first thought was, "wow, that'll get dirty very quickly!".

Fezzick is just so darn cute. I bet the person crocheted the cover and then threaded around the outside and pulled it like a drawstring to tighten it on to the tire. What a fun idea! ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

There is a woman at my previous gym that had one of those tire covers. She bought it on ETSY.

Fezzik is amazing. I've never seen a cat climb willingly into anything wet! Shelby doesn't even like to step into drips on the kitchen tile. She shakes her paw like she stepped in acid!
Wow, that tyre cover is quite something isn't it! I never saw a cat that liked water before! I had a cat that would drink from the bath full of water, but never got into the water. Fezzik seems to love it though! xx

Your Fezzik is so cute! Love all your mittens. Have you tried the rolled cuff on a hat? It works well.

That tire cover is awesome! I think my husband needs one for his Jeep's spare tire. ;)
