Cause I'm Happy

Those mittens are still growing on my hibiscus tree.
I started a child's pair with the sparkle yarn Katherine sent me recently.

I've made the executive decision that afterthought thumbs are fraught with danger for me.
I have the cashmere mittens in a timeout.
The thumb can wait until winter...if need be.

I much prefer the gusset thumb join.
I am having a blast with mittens.

I also had a blast at the racetrack like so many others this weekend.

This is me and my Uncle Bill.  He has such great family stories.
He never married and is such a wonderful person.
We had many laughs at the Arlington race track.
The crowds were scarce on Sunday and I was happy about that.
I don't like crowds much anymore.
The ponies were pretty and the weather was warm and overcast.
Riders UP!!
Hoping for a Triple Crown winner!

Happy Monday.
This week is Fireman's birthday and Mother's day.
It's Nurses week.
Happy Nurses week Allison Jo.
I'm proud of you.
When is teacher's week?
I'm proud of Zach as well.

The weather is warm, the flowers are out...
we have made it through the cold and bleak winter!
Hooray.
What are you Happy about this week?

I believe this week is teacher's appreciation week so your whole family has something special. Even Tank, Pie and Beatles have a baby brother coming this week. Great week for all!

Yes, this is also Teachers' Appreciation week - it's definitely a week full of celebrations!

Love the mitten. I agree, I prefer the thumb gusset method.

How wonderful the mitten looks.

I understand there was an issue with the track yesterday.

The mitten looks really pretty. I also prefer the gusset thumb method. Actually I've never tried the afterthought thumb, but have read it in a pattern, and thought "not for me".

Happy Week to everyone!

I'm so happy you shared a photo of you, you're adorable! I'm happy because I'm comfy in my family room after weeks of travel. And the sun is coming out. But I actually wish it would stay cloudy so I don't feel guilty about enjoying my comfy chair. :-)
((hugs)), Teresa :-)

Happy birthday to Fireman! Hope he has a wonderful day of celebration.

What's making me happy this week?
Hmmmmmmmmmm...my GARDEN is making me happy this week. Orchids are blooming and the new plants seem to be settling in without too many issues. :-)

You are having some good times, lady! I'm with you, I don't like crowds very much anymore. I have a hard time reminding myself that at one time I used to. I actually like our ballpark because getting in and out is really not that bad with all those bodies. Last night I was by myself so it was even easier. I didn't have to worry about "losing" anyone.
