Felting Semi Success

I continue to just fiddle around with needles and yarn without a true goal.
I used up some old felting yarn this weekend.
I made a funky yarn bowl.
It will do.
Because it won't stand well on its own, I cut some little slits around the top and put some ribbon through it to gather.

Since I cannot decide on a new project for more than a few hours, I keep going back to Trap.  I'd say I'm half way there.
The stockinette Trap will roll, so I tried to show you its width here.  Winter being what it is, I didnt lay it out perfectly for you.
Trust me that it isn't wonky on the edges.

In other IE (Irisheyes) News:

*Our Girl Scout Cookies arrived yesterday...

*Despite the bitter cold I keep hearing Cardinals sing when I am briefly outside

*I watched the Oscars: highlight according to me =
Lada GAGA.  That Lady Nailed it!

*I'd like to add to my blog reads: is there anyone you'd love to share with me?

Gaga blew me away. Who knew?
Love the new Trap but not the snow. We've got another Arctic blast heading our way. :(

I haven't done a lot of felting, so I can offer no advice on your bowl. I think you came up with a good solution.

I'm enjoying garter stitch knitting on these cold and endless winter days.

Did you felt the bowl in your washing machine?

The colors in your new trap scarf are very nice!

Yes, I watched the Oscars too. Lady Gaga showed her voice off...for sure!!! She even dressed appropriately for the number.

I'll take some Thin Mints. :-) I was in AWE of Lady Gaga - I have one of her songs on my car playlist. She can sing, that girl. Feel free to check out my blog list.. I have some good ones on there. Not one of them is full of ads, I don't like those. Have a good week. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

Is the bowl fully felted? I know nothing about felting, but it seems like I shouldn't be able to see the stitches so clearly.

Gaga was AMAZING!

Need some new blog reads? Check out my blog roll . . . lots of nice people there.

I've also played a game of reading my regular blogs and clicking on the blog of the first commentor. Met some very nice bloggers that way.

The bowl is cute and the Trap is, as always, phenomenal.

Do you read The Knitting Blog By Mr. Puffy The Dog? One of my favorites is Celtic Memory Yarns--you probably already know that one.
Cute bowl - and trap is looking great!

I think you've discovered something new with this Trap - snow blocking!

Your bowl is really pretty. One of my favourite felting projects ever was called (I think) the Booda Bag. I made several years ago to give as gifts.

A blog I discovered recently is Watermelon Tea (chunkinmytrunk dot blogspot dot com). She's hilarious, even though going through a rough patch with her health. I haven't been able to keep up with my blogreading but I try to get over there when I can.

Oh man, I really am going to make a trap in 2015. Your knits are always so fun Kathy! And I'm with you, Gaga singing ala Von Trapp (get it?!?) was really good. She needs to let go of the gimmick and give in to that voice. Oh and she should lose the weird dish washing gloves on the red carpet.

I've enjoyed the songs Lady Gaga has been singing with Tony Bennett, so I'm not surprised about her performance. I hope she does more of this type of music.
