Day 7, 2015. Am I Feeding a Racoon?

Zach and Izzy had a grand time in Mexico.
I'll share a photo or two from their trip each day for you.
Coffee anyone?
Mexican coffee is my favorite kind of coffee.
It is never bitter and oh so smooth.
What's your favorite coffee?
In as much as I would LOVE to work only on my sweater, alas, the knitting does tire my forearms.
So, I alternate with this baby blanket that Knitterbeader got me hooked on.
It is a simple k2p2 on one side
and Knit on the other side.

As for New Years the occasional cat visitor,
I haven't seen him.
I felt all guilty yesterday because there were paw prints by my front door.
So I left food out.
Saw no takers.
When I get up in the morning the food is gone...
and Fireman feels I've been feeding a raccoon.
He may be right.
So, No more food put out unless I see New Years again.

(Dinner last night was
Chicken marsala.
I will try to give you our dinners because everyone seems to be at a loss for new dinners.
Our vegetable was snow peas....mmmmm. )

Leave a comment if you please. Please.  ?

Too cold outdoors. It is creeping indoors. Have to have the heating people in because heating system. So cold. (and I usually do not complain about the cold especially given the winter we had last year).

another stitch you might enjoy for a baby blanket is called Checks and Ridges.

Love the photo of Izzy - is that a street performer shown with her? Such fun

I don't drink coffee unless hot tea is not available, as most coffee seems oily and bitter to me.

I like Kenyan AA coffee :-) But drink Newman's pretty much every day. We had chicken divan last night and it was just meh. And way too unhealthy to put into the rotation. Chicken marsala may need to make an appearance next week!

I love the pictures of the adventure in Mexico! Izzy is so pretty. Please share if your coffee bean candle arrangement ever gave off the desired aroma. Chicken Marsala sounds wonderful. I made applesauce yesterday and I don't know how they know something is going in my kitchen, but three of the kids just happened to stop by and claim a jar of applesauce. I love it that they seem to have a "Mom is cooking/baking" insight.
No coffee for me please- I can't stand the stuff!

I'm no longer much of a coffee drinker. Used to drink a lot when I was still working, but now only when we're socializing with friends and everyone else is drinking coffee!
I checked out the "checks and ridges" stitch mentioned earlier, and it indeed looks like a nice stitch for a baby blanket. Easy to remember pattern.
What weight yarn are you using on your baby blanket, kathy? I'm using fingering, and it's taking forever. I've added a stripe of burgundy in with the grey, just to change it up a bit. Pictures tomorrow.

Such a cute photo of Izzy! I'm glad those two had a good time in Mexico. :)

I love chicken marsala. We have been all over the map with dinner lately. Last night was the basic roast chicken and potato latkes and since Anthony had the night off, he set up my Japanese curry with short ribs to do it slow cooker style. I hope it turns out today!

I hope New Year's is okay, but I'm not a fan of those racoons ...

I'm not a coffee drinker; Dr Pepper is my caffeine. I do drink hot tea, though. I don't think you can be a knitter without drinking tea. And having a cat.

I don't drink much coffee anymore either, but I do love the way it smells! Poor kitty! I hope s/he didn't meet up with that raccoon...... A visit to Mexico sounds very appealing right about now; it's not as cold here as what you have, but oh the gray and gloom and early dark. This is not my favorite time of year, but at least you don't have to shovel rain!
I love those colors!

I love Dunkin Donuts coffee and Starbuck's Holiday Blend. I rarely drink it anymore but I fix a big pot for The Mister every morning just to get the house smelling right.
The racoon tale is too funny. I find them at the kitty bowls from time to time myself.

My favorite coffee is a local roast from Island Roasters in New Smyrna Beach. It is SO smooth.

The baby blanket you are knitting is such a pretty color combo.
