Day 25, 2015 Baby Socks

I was only able to score one skien of
Schoppel Wolle Ambiente in 1862 Magic.  At my LYS.
So, I did the obvious knit thing:
I knit baby/toddler socks.

Don't know who is going to receive them, but I love them.
The yarn is great.  I knit them on 4s.  I knit the ribbed portion on 2s.  36 stitches total.
The yarn has a good spring to it.  It is not splitty.
I would recommend it.

I am not a fast knitter. I was shut away in Allison's old bedroom for the last 2 days.  I have a cold and refuse to share it with Fireman and Zach.  So I hunkered down and turned on the humidifier and knit with pretty yarn.
And I listened to radio podcasts about Dear Ernie Banks.
I also listened to cooking podcasts on WGN radio.

This is our pretty scenery....not so much.
It is snowing today so we will have some very pretty white on the trees.  I don't have to leave the house..and boy does that make snow tolerable.
Be careful out there if you are on the roads.
I don't want any pretend friends having troubles today!
I don't even want you lurkers to have any troubles...
ahem..you know who you are!!! :)

Wishing you well, Kathy! I picked up a virus yesterday and am hunkering down to get rid of it pronto [please God] The socks are adorable. You made good use of your quarantine. Hope I can get some stitching done on my cowl and a rainbow potholder. xx

love the wee socks and I think we are going to get an inch or so. Nothing dramatic I hope!! Unless it's just pretty snow, that is okay by me.

Oh so sorry you're ill! At least you have some crafty things to keep you occupied while you recuperate. Those socks are adorable! ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

The socks are adorable. Thanks for the yarn recommendation: I'll add it to my memory bank.

Get well soon, my friend.
The socks are very cute!
Hope you are feeling better soon!

You make having a cold sound almost fun!
I love how you are always making things and then figuring out who they will belong to. That makes much more sense than the other way around!
We are expecting that big "blizzard" they've been talking about all week on the weather channel. That usually means we won't get a flake. I hope I'm wrong. I'd love to be snowed in for a few days.

Love those socks! Hope your cold is only a bad memory by now! No snow here, just rain.

Hope you are feeling better soon. I started with a cold on Thursday .....starting to clear up today, but it's not fun. Thank goodness for Nyquil.

So sorry about the cold, but good excuse for some "me" time and time to knit. No snow here so we are safe.
Hugs,
Meredith
