Mini Mania Scarf by Core

My friend Susan brought her new Whippet baby over to visit us yesterday.  Meet adorable Gypsy.
If only whippets didnt chase cats....
Keep your paws crossed for the Kitten boys, the family visited and LOVED them. Hoping the finalization goes through tomorrow. Lynn you matchmaker you!
Well the tree is up at the grocery store.
Ours is going up today.

I started the Mini Mania leftover sock yarn scarf yesterday.
It is a free ravelry pattern by Core.
Linen stitch.
Knit longwise...
Cast on 300 stitches.

I keep saying to myself, breathe,
it is a long row,
you don't have to rush this.

So, a gypsy,
a poinsettia tree
and a new cast on.

Life is so good...
what's good by you?

Gypsy's eyes are a gorgeous color.

Not much knitting happening here, but I'm off to check out the Mini Mania pattern.

I'm not familiar with whippets...good looking dog though. Cute picture! I like to see those big poinsettia trees; I'm pondering buying a plant for this season. I'm finally on the last section of my scarf....and I'm soooo anxious to start a new cast on!!

Oh, I hope the adoption works out! We adopted a kitty this week from our local humane society and brought him home today. He's understandably nervous so I'll wait a while before taking photos. I need a break from Christmas knitting. I think I'll cast on Mini Mania.

My Niece had a whippet for years, it was the most high strung dog ever, wishing Gypsy a quieter life. As for linen stitch, I am impressed. I tried it once because I love the look, but by the third row I was way off count, it made it quickly into the frog pond.
Hugs,
Meredith

Beautiful cat chaser, sadly my Frodo is one I'm assuming since he loves to hunt rabbits and mice and fast moving animals. Yay for the nearly adopted kittens :)

Haven't got our tree up - will probably get a new one, so need to go shopping! Today was a good day at knitting meetup. Lots of fun, lively conversation and of course, "some" knitting. I also just found out there is a knitting group in our community on Tuesday nights - so will give them a try this coming week. Hopefully the kittens have found their "forever" home.

You always look so kind and loving in these photos with the animals. Good for you.

I tried to make the very same scarf, but kept making mistakes. Linen, ribbing and seed stitches are all basically the same: knit and purl in some particular order. But linen is difficult for me for some reason.

Gypsy is a beauty!

Nothing's new here. The tree won't go up for another week or more and...

OH!! Baby Boy is here. I still have one inch and garter border then bind off. I should do that so I can drop it off and meet him Monday after work.

I'm tired. That's my excuse. He's very new, even though he is almost 11 lbs. Mom is nearly 6' tall though, but still...

We almost bought a Whippet just before Macy came to us through a friend. Gypsy is beautiful! Looking forward to the new scarf.

Thank goodness our kitties have been very tolerant of Pup's naughty chasing ways.
I'll be on the lookout for the yarn....squee!

The Mini Mania sounds a lot like the Scrappy Scarf. I started one years ago and I tend to forget about it, which is ridiculous given the amount of sock-yarn leftovers I have!
