Who Who Who

Knit pal and overall pal Karen and I are Great Horned Owl stalkers.
We found a pair that live near her house in Glenview last year.
They are baaaaaaack!
Saturday night I got the text to come over ASAP to hear them.
We are loons, but we love the owls hooting.
I'll have to make something owl sooner or later. This cup cover looks doable...
Neighbor and knit pal Abby served us black bean pasta on Halloween night.  So serendipitous: she's gluten free and it was Halloween...
It was really delicious.  (and I'm picky)
Zach and Izzy got all gussied up for a Halloween Party.
Izzy is so darn sweet.  Zach had his own CATRINA for Halloween.
Yesterday Zach turned 24.
The Day of the Dead Birthday meant nothing to us 24 years ago.
Now, it is so fitting for him!
Thanks Izzy for making it a wonderful birthday for our son.

Tune in tomorrow for knit news!

Was not the greatest of weather around here on Halloween. But then again it was Halloween weather-- frightening.

I love those Owl cup covers; I even managed to receive the pattern last year...but still haven't cast it on. I think it's time; thanks for the reminder! Ha. Zach and Izzy look pretty scary... but what a cute couple!
I love owls too - we used to have all kinds of barn owls around the house where I grew up. I'm hoping one or two move in around our new place.

Zach and Izzy are such a cute couple and their costumes are fun and scary. All I can say about the black bean pasta is that I'm glad it was you eating it and not me. I'm very sensitive about how food looks. I realize that it limits me and means I don't eat many very tasty foods.

The owl cup cover is too cute!!

Happy Belated Birthday to Zach!

I'm intrigued by owls, too. Several years ago when I still lived on the farm, I came home one dark night and two white owls were sitting on the gate posts opposite each other. They were gorgeous, but I never saw them again.

Owls are awesome. I hope you knit up that owl coffee sleeve and tell me it was quick and easy and I should do it too :) Happy birthday to your boy. Their costumes are great!

Wow, they both look like they could use a good nurse! LOL Where'd you find the owl pattern; it's really cute!

Owls scare me to death. I hate hearing them hoot outside at night because I think they are going to eat my outside kitties. I do have a pair of owl mitts that I love. In fact I had them on today to rake leaves. I love Izzy's makeup. So glamorous and ghoulish at the same time. Brilliant.

They are so darned cute together. I love to hear the owls hooting behind my house, we have Barred Owls and they can really get hooting.
Hugs,
Meredith
