Knit Plans

Al plans to knit this baby blanket for her friend Casey.
Casey is having a girl so it will be pink.
I received my Micheals yarn in the mail yesterday.
I started a small something yesterday.
It is so very soft but also very thin
Ultra fine.
I may have to double the yarn to really get anywhere with this....
Time will tell..

Seems its all about the Turkey plans these days.
I myself love that bird.
In my family, growing up, we all pulled the skin off the cooked turkey and savored it before it was carved.
This seems sacrilege to those I share the story with now.
That's how we did though.
We all fought for the skin.
Mmmmmm
so good and so bad for you

Looking forward to seeing what you are making with the two pretty colors of yarn! Nice combo. I'm smiling at your "turkey in the window".

One day a year? GO FOR IT! LOL

Crispy turkey skin is the best!!! When I consider all the butter used on Thanksgiving it gives me the shivers. BUT .....I enjoy every single BITE!

Mmmmm I love crispy turkey skin! I shopped for Thanksgiving yesterday and made a slight miscalculation when I bought a 22 pound turkey. I had no place in my refrigerator for the bird and had to take it to our son's house to put it in his. By the time we eat him he will be a well traveled turkey.

I love your yarn colors and the baby blanket Al is making is beautiful!

Purple is my favorite color. I love the yarn. Turkey skin is the best. It is just great on it's own. I could eat it all day, every day.

What a great pattern for a baby blanket! Not a fast knit, though. A lot of love will go into it, for sure. I like the skeins of yarn in purple and gold...hmmm...wondering what you have up your sleeve now.

...had to laugh at your turkey-eating tradition! Mighty tasty!
Here in Canada, we have a restaurant chain called Swiss Chalet that specializes in rotisserie chicken - and the best part is the skin! Soooooo good. It's the only time I eat chicken with skin any more and it's always a treat!

Icky. I don't like the skin, or dark meat... or gravy... I'm quite the buzz-kill at a turkey dinner. Luckily, we'll be dining out and oysters will be on the menu.

LOVE that blanket. Yet another reminder to get knitting. My friend looks tired and ready to pop.

I gave up meat years ago but I have very fond memories of cold turkey legs the day after Thanksgiving. I'm pretty sure I ate that chewy skin too. Now my guilty pleasure is pumpkin pie. I'm the only one that eats it and I know I'll eat the whole thing before the holiday weekend is over.

Did you know those colors are the UWashington ones? Nice choice! Love the blanket Al is making! Turkey's tasty no matter how you eat it, but I sure don't like pumpkin pie!
Most of the yarn here is very thin so it takes extra to make anything. I much prefer working with thicker yarns. A friend's son almost choked on turkey skin many Thanksgivings ago. I haven't eaten meat in many years so there will be no turkey here unless we go out to a hotel for a holiday lunch. Have a wonderful weekend. Tammy

Crispy turkey or chicken skin is tasty, and I do allow myself an indulgence once a year. ;o)

Love the yarn colors you selected. The baby blanket is gorgeous, but not something I would make unless it was for a GOOD friend - cables take me forever to knit.

Not even gravy? I'm a vegetarian and I'm going to cheat on Thanksgiving and put gravy on my mashed potatoes
