Duct Tape

Double the fun when then kittens are ready to play!
These two are just so lovely.
They even let us cut their nails last night without any fuss.
We may have an adopter which would make me very happy.
Black kittens and cats tend to sit at the shelter and take forever to be adopted out.
Keep your knit fingers crossed for me ladies.
I'd love them to have a home by the end of the week!
Lynn's adopting Bonk and Fixie , now Teddy and Mr Whiskers was a dream come true....
I hope the same for this dynamic duo!

It took me three more tries to get the double knitting under way.
The above is with sock yarn and its a bit too fiddly. I do like the way the black is zigzagging along.
On a bigger needle, with sport weight, the Liberty Wool is behaving very nicely.  So double knit scarf it will be.

We watched the first episode of Six Feet Under the series, at a friend's recommendation.  I did NOT like it.
Too graphic, too dark, too vulgar.
I like nice shows....I'm boring.

Then we switched to watching the MOVIE:
AVIATOR.  We had never seen it.
We really loved the movie.
If you didn't see it back when, well it is quite good.
I felt very sorry for Howard Hughes at the end.
Yet, it was not a sad movie.
Very engaging, we didn't want to shut it off even to get a cuppa decaf!

Finally on this Sunday,
I must tell you that the duct tape is working.
Almost every night I say I'm thinking of breaking into the box for some Christmas cookies.
Senor Boyer laughs.  Fireman laughs.
They are no help.
The don't say NO!!!
They are just as entertained seeing when I'll cave in.
So because of that,  the box remains duct taped and safe in the freezer...for now

From the picture, I was just SURE the kittens were in TROUBLE! Glad to hear they are sweet house guests. LOL

Oh man ....you have some awesome willpower. That duct tape would be in the trash by now at my house.

Those black kittens are so cute - I don't see you can stand saying goodbye to them. I would be so attached with orphan kitties I would probably have a houseful!! I'm with you about being boring as far as movies - don't care for all the violence, graphic images and foul language.

I LOVED Six Feet Under. One of my favorite series ever, but you are right, graphic and sometimes very dark. I watched Beginners (a movie) on Netflix last night and it was good but SO SAD. I thought that it was going to be a comedy... not so much. I think I'll watch Words and Pictures tonight, I'm pretty sure this one IS a romantic comedy so no tears.

Oh also I ate the whole "small batch" of cookies that I made. Stress eating

we must be twins, I do not like dark or violent. I have to have pg13 (or less, ahem). Mature rating better be just potty mouth, I do not like nudity or violence. Anyways, I will pray for those sweet kitties to have a forever home.

I like nice shows too. And I would take a black cat (or two) in a minute if I weren't allergic!

Your reference to duct tape makes me think of the Frog and Toad story "Cookies" - a true classic. Good luck and many kudos to you for such self-control!

That Liberty Wool is lovely. I got to use some for a magazine commission and really enjoyed working with it.

Prayers and crossed paws for a home for those kittens!

Love the zigzags.

Out of sight, out of mind works for me. Good luck with that.

I don't like dark, violent or psychologically "thrilling" shows either. I need laughter, happiness, and a rock-solid ending. It doesn't have to be a happy ending, just a conclusion!

I love black kitties and will always have one when I can mange it! :)

Why didn't I think of that before I ate 4 of the iced sugar cookies Sam and I made this afternoon. We made 8 dozen so I have plenty left and without something like duct tape I would surely eat a "few" more before next Thursday.

Like you I could never watch something a dark and Six Feet Under! I would have bad dreams for a week or more.

The black kitties are so cute. They deserve a good home so we are praying one will come along very soon.

I watched 6 Feet Under when it first aired. Some of those first scenes that show the way people meet their maker are still with me and still give me chills. I can honestly say some of them changed my behavior in terms of avoiding risky behavior. Talk about a powerful show. I agree it was disturbing. I stay far away from things like that these days. Entertainment is supposed to make me feel good. If it doesn't, I move on.
Got my fingers crossed for the kitties. They look they are ready for their fur-ever home!

You have been very busy my friend, double knitting?? I might have to give that a try.
Hugs and best of luck with the potential adoptions.

Those two little boys look like a handful! An adorable handful.

I'm wishing the kitties a good home. Your duct taped cookies are killing me, ha! I have a friend I might have to suggest it with for her nuts and chews :)

How could anyone resist those two cuties? DD just acquired 2 black cats, a kitten and its Mama. Mama is supposed to be on loan, but we'll see......

I'm happy for the kitties possibly getting a forever home, but I will miss them on the blog. I know what you mean about TV shows. I watch clean shows, because I know how babies are made and I don't need reminders. Plus, I have to be careful about what I watch with the kids around. Don't need them walking in on some crazy scenes.
