The Nomad Simple Baby Pullover 8/6/2014

 * This is the back.  I did a bit of basket weave stitch although it is not in the pattern.   I loved knitting this baby!  I have to decide on buttons.   The yarn was Chesapeake in a cotton blend.  I think I used 3 tiny skeins.   The three button band comes together when you switch to knitting in the round and it confused me.  I don't think I did it correctly but It works.

*Al's elephant buttons are too big, but I like the creamy color and will look for buttons at 3 Bags later today. I have ends to weave in and I want to wash and block it.   Oh yeah, I'm casting on another asap!  I don't have a baby in mind to give this to yet….but they pop up all the time don't they?

*Zach's dog bite is healing. Thanks for all your concerns.

*Drinking all that water every day is harder than I imagined.  I have 20 ounce bottle and I am trying to drink 100 ounces a day. The most I've accomplished is 80 ounces. Guess what?  I don't get up at night any more often ….
I guess I was less hydrated than I thought.  I hope I look very cool carrying my bottle around.

*Finally, I bought some bra's on Amazon.  Seriously I did.  They didn't fit.  What a shocker.   Their return was the easiest thing I could imagine.  They even picked it up from my step.  Who knew? Did you?

Seriously, bras have to be the hardest thing to figure out fit. I bought three at a local lingerie shop last summer. Then I found them online for about half the price, so I bought two more. The two SAY they are they same size, but they fit totally different. Fortunately, it still works.

The baby sweater is adorable. Lots of new babies around me this year.
Cute sweater - too bad the buttons don't work - they are adorable.

LOVE that little pullover! Clever you with the basket weave touch, too! 100 ounces. Oh, I know I don't get anywhere close to that. I think you are doing great at 80!!! I try for 64... but, probably don't get as close as I like to convince myself I do. ;) Can't wait to see the buttons you chose and your next one! blessings ~ tanna

Bras are definitely a difficult purchase. I tend to stick to ONE style when I find one I like, and tend to get very cranky when it is discontinued.

Love the sweater. I need to check out the pattern.

Cute, cute baby pullover. I think the basket weave stitch added wonderful detail to the overall look of the sweater. Well done!

I had no idea you were such a heavy drinker! LOL.

Once I find a bra that is comfortable, I stick with it too...until, like Nancy said, it's discontinued...which happens too OFTEN!!

I love the baby sweater and I want to make one! I even like the buttons. Great knit Kathy.

I live by Amazon and have sent things back with ease many times. I love their Prime membership's free shipping! Oddly, I DO order bras from them because I wear the Genie Bras and they fit pretty much no matter what.

Love the baby sweater and your "extra touch" of basket weaves. I really like baby patterns - they go so fas!

I'm getting ready to order some bras from Amazon and hope they fit okay. I stick to the same one I've worn forever, and so far they've not been discontinued.

Cute sweater.

I have ordered from Amazon for bras. I ordered ones that I have bought from brick & mortar stores though.
I get mine from Kohl's and Carson's mainly now. I have to try them on because of costochondritis and the constriction.

As for staying hydrated I most always have water with me. Four summers ago I had three kidney stone surgeries in 8 weeks--my summer from He(double hockey sticks). It was awful pain and I have not forgotten.
The doctors have stated though that between 60-75 ounces is a good amount to shoot for. I try to keep it more towards the higher amount. Like I said I do not want to go through that again.

Oh, what a sweet sweater.

That's a lot of water! Do you slosh when you walk?

I absolutely have to try on bras before buying. (Especially now that the girls are migrating so far southwards due to middle age.) Nothing fits any more. *sigh*

Ugh! I hate bra shopping!!! Why can't all bras be the same fit? One brand to the next they differ. Glad your son is OK. Is the whole internet knitting baby stuff? LOL!

I love your baby knitting. Always so adorable.

Bras on Amazon. I wouldn't have thought of it, but it makes sense. I had to return a ring on Amazon, because I ordered the wrong size. It was super easy.
