Monday : Full of Ideas

Last week I didn't know what to knit.
This week I'm full of ideas.
That's how it goes for me.
I love the Little Arrowhead Fingerless gloves.

Purl Sohos' pre wrap would be wonderful to wear in the winter.
I'll put it on my LATER list.  I'm not in the mood for that big of a knit yet.  The construction is smart and simple.  That is a huge part of the attraction for me.
Did you see the segment on knitted bird nests that was aired on tv this weekend?  I'm pretty sure my vet takes in sick birds, so I'll ask her if she wants a few felted nests….
I had a dog for a full twenty minutes yesterday!
Fireman and I were sitting on the porch when he looked up and said,
"Hey there's a dog in our yard"

We took Miss Lily up on the porch.
I gave her a hot dog and a bowl of water.
She was very happy!

With a little bit of detective work, (when no one answered on her tag i.d number,) we had her back home.
Seemed to me she didn't want to leave…our house…
sigh.
We do have our hands full with Rozzy, truth be told.
Rozzy started on Elavil this weekend.
We are hoping it will help her start getting to her litter box again to go potty…..
she does not seem to feel very well, but we aren't THERE yet….

I was supposed to write a post about writing today.
I could not for the life of me find the prompt.
I'll say this about my Process:
I try to weave my post with some ideas that link beginning to end.
I often think of the post plan during the day before I post.
I often delete a paragraph during editing.
Some of my favorite posts are the chatty, day to day posts that others write.
I find Simple Woman's Daybook Entries fascinating.
I love them.
I like to glimpse from my ordinary life into your ordinary life.
I find ending the post with a question, sometimes prompts more comments.
I have the same loyal folks who comment almost all the time.
I get very excited with new comments but I'd be lost without hearing from
Nancy, Dee, Katherine, Channon, Judy, Ellen,
Araignee, Meredith, Kim, Lynn,
Teresa, Mrs. Micawber, and Major Jennifer, Marguerite and Caffeine Girl, Suburban Prep, Leslie, Maureen….
(to name a few)  Im so sorry if I left you out.

So here's an idea:
Is there someone who reads your blog who I'd like to read?
Leave me their blogname ,
and I'll give them a go.

How cool about the bird's nest, great idea. I love your blog any way you choose to write it. I have recently been reading Ingrid's blog at myfunkycrochet.blogspot.com, she has a terrific sense of humor.
Hugs,
Meredith

The knitting projects are all very appealing! Love the fingerless mitts; I've tried to gather up some lacy patterns for mitts, but haven't started a pair ... yet. Nice looking sweater! And really cute bird nests! Time to get those needles clicking ... in double time! Your puppy visitor sure is a cutie.

Yes, I did see the segment on the bird nests. I loved that the whole family was knitting them, even Dad!

Your visitor looks excited to be featured on the blog. Glad you were able to contact the owner and reunite them.

I think we read pretty much the same blogs, but I have a few that you don't have on the list.

One of my favorites is T's Daily Treasure http://tsdailytreasure.blogspot.com

So that's how you found me. :) Thanks for stopping by my corner of the world. I do so appreciate my blog friends who consistently and faithfully stop by for a chat, but it's always good to find new blog friends, too. Sorry to hear about Rozzy. Love the idea of the knitted birds nests. Have a great day! Tammy

That purlsoho wrap is calling me and my later list too, Kathy! I would be lost without your comments and voice as well. You're such a dear. You make me smile and laugh all the time.

I must knit that shrug. And I think you know how long it's been since I've felt so compelled. Is that available in the shop you frequent?
